  • Burn for Burn by Jenny Hand and Siobhan Vivian

I have this on ebook actually and have read it thrice. When I receive my allowance I immediately got this book, because I really love it! That’s why I wanted to read it again this summer. I can’t wait for the second book of the series, Fire with Fire.

  • Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead

I finish this book already. You can check my review here(1)(2).

  • Stardust by Neil Gaiman

My cousin’s been convincing me to read the book. Hey cous! I’m finally reading the book. Are you proud of me now? Haha. The movie’s actually one of my favorite movie.

  • Brida by Paulo Coelho

I’m so excited to read a book by Mr. Coelho. I know his books are inspiring, because people that I trust seems to trust his writings and visions. I think it’s finally time to meet his books.

  • Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami

Yet another book suggested by my cousin. Heard a lot of positive things about the author. I know this book has been turned into a movie. I haven’t checked the movie yet, but maybe after I read the book.

And that’s all for my summer reads. I didn’t include the ebooks, because there’s a lot of TBR ebooks. If you’ve read the books I’ve listed or currently reading it, I would love to read your reviews or your thoughts about the book. You can drop by my Tumblr ask or my twitter. Or we can be goodreads buddies!

Until next time! Bye. :)

Top three books that made my summer

I love summers because I have tons of free time. And with so much time to spare, reading is a must! I have been reading since the start of my summer and since my summer is bound to end, I find it fair enough to blog about the top three books that made my summer.

Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell. A touching tale of two misfits who find where they fit is together. I’m 16 years old and I’m a sucker for sugar-coated, hopeless romantic novels. And yes, this may just be a phase. But this novel by Rainbow Rowell is just too adorable to resist! All the feels in one novel. Mind you, once I started reading it, I didn’t stop until I finished it until the end. And after reading the whole novel; I was speechless.

Please Ignore Vera Dietz by A.S. King. So close, yet so far. As mushy as my italicized phrase sounds, I see Charles and Vera’s story that way. The thing with this book is that it didn’t tell or show what was happening, it made me “feel” what was happening. I felt what the story was about.  A.S King manipulated my emotions when I was reading this novel. This book is too good to ignore. It affected me and the feeling is still with me. This book is one of my new favorites.

Sputnik Sweetheart by Haruki Murakami. You see, I have been a fan of Murakami since I read Norwegian Wood. But as much as I love Norwegian Wood, I loved this novel more. I really felt blessed that Lloyd gave this to me as a present. Apart from the fact that I got it for free, this novel just left me in awe of how great Murakami is. As I stated in my Goodreads review, this novel hit hard on the spot on three kinds of love; first love, unrequited love and repressed love. With matching genuine and relatable characters, this book couldn’t get any better. Hands down.

These three books gave me a reason to read more and more. (Not that, I plan to stop reading. It has been a part of me ever since I was a little girl.) I just don’t know what is it with books that always get me. Well, like it stated in Sputnik Sweetheart;
“Nothing could come between her and her faith in literature.” And yes, I do feel the same way.
