Today's Workout - December 19,2011
Today I feel kind of crappy. :( On Saturday it was my best friend’s sixteenth birthday party and one of my friends had strep throat. I hung out with her a lot and ever since that night I felt iffy… so on Sunday I stayed home and did a lot of school work and didn’t run because I felt sick. Today I still felt weird but OF COURSE decided to go to practice because I feel uneasy if I don’t. :p Today we had a workout… incredibly short compared to the usual workout, but still very demanding! It was a 1600 and then two 400’s. I couldn’t breath well during the workout so my times kind of weren’t what I was hoping for. Psh, not complaining… because everyone has off days sometimes, but I am just hoping that everything gets better! Especially since it is the last week of school before Christmas break and all! So my 1600 time was 6:12, although I was hoping for sub-6… and a freshman passed me. -_- I need to get better and get back into hard workouts… then I ran my 400’s in 78 then 75. It’s okay. I’m sitting here with a cup of hot Echinacea tea and a cup of hot Raspberry tea. I also had some “Immunal” and an echinacea tablet. Hopefully I get better! :) And anyone else that’s feeling kind of under the weather lately- I hope you get well soon too! Everyone has days like these, don’t worry it’ll all clear up soon. ♥

Today I have an obsession with being sick...
Today I have an obsession with my sickness. As I lay in bed, bored out of my mind, I can’t seem to find something that makes me want to write. So, instead I chose to just think aloud about how strep throat feels. Right now, my neck hurts pretty bad, my throat is sore, and the process of moving from sitting to standing requires just wayyy too much effort I’m not exactly willing to put in. It’s really funny (or not) how your body can influence your motivations. Right now, I feel pretty crappy, and have no desire to move, but this past weekend I put my ailments aside for some FUN. Great priorities right lol. I think it would be awesome if you could just open your body and take whatever was bothering you out until it got better or just take off one body and put another one on until the other healed. I’m going to proceed to fixate on this because I can. Right now my throat is on fire and it kinda looks like a raw hamburger. Yummy right! You can imagine how my hamburger of a throat felt when I got a throat culture. The feeling of a wooden shaft being shoved in the back of my raw hamburger throat was actually worse than anticipated. Luckily, my symptoms aren’t that bad, I’m just bitching and moaning because I can, once again. So stay far away or else strep is comin’ your way!
Going to the doctor....
So ever since thursday ive been sick. This lovely girl took great care of me over the weekend. I had to call in to work yesterday because i was sick and i am probably going to do the same today. It is very hard to swallow and ive had a temperature that goes normal then low 100’s. Fingers crossed i DO NOT have strep throat. Lucky for me i was able to get into the doctors at 115. I am hoping they will give me meds to help my throat. I miss food and i miss being healthy. Also, i cant miss much more work or no presents for me or surprise presents for cladia :( Wish me a get well because i need it :)
