How to disable music autoplay on people's pages

Since this is an issue that has startled me greatly on more that one occasion, I figured it was high time I get to the bottom of it and put an end to music autoplaying on people’s pages. So, after doing some digging, here is how to do just that.

Streampad

well, well, well :DD i’m really feeling like very experienced tumblr user! :D i have put streampad on tumblr! i’m super happy!! streampad is a fun application for music lovers who use tumblr. after installing streampad to your site, any song you post to your blog via tumblr’s audio feature will automatically be loaded into a playlist that appears at the bottom of your home page. isnt’t this great? ^.^ now while exploring my blog you are able to listen to some good music ♥ i’ll definitely learn something more about different tumblr functions, so you can look forward to them ;) ♥ i hope with all my heart that this information was helpful ♥

New Features and New Followers too!

Just added some new features on my tumblr page » Streampad and a Hit Counter.

Okay, and since im writing a little note i’d also like to thank all my new followers! You probably stumbled across my blog because of my numerous music posts and your love for music so I will not disappoint! The quickest way to know what my blog is about is to check my streampad playlist (Blue bar at the end of the page) to get an idea of the music I like, however take your time here because I do post a lot of music videos as well!

Streampad v2 UPDATE (21 Mar 2013)

So if you haven’t noticed already, tumblr recently changed its structure yet again. For security or aesthetic reasons? I have no idea, but SoundCloud posts no longer use tumblr’s flash audio player and instead now use iframes, much like the Spotify posts. Luckily, Streampad can still rely on SoundCloud’s API to fetch the mp3s to stream.

So If your Streampad is getting stuck on the first song because you reblogged music from SoundCloud, or you just want to listen to SoundCloud posts again with Streampad, install the new code:

For existing users:

Ctrl + F to find:

Streampad issue fix

I’ve had a few friends whos players skip through all of their songs while mine was working fine. The only thing we could think of is that my code is a really old one I’ve had forever. If any of you want to use it feel free it worked for theirs -

I had to put it on text host because it’s the only way the code will work when copy/pasted. Click here and put it above your </head> tag

I’m sure you can figure out the colors and what you want it to say etc. I know it’s terrible having to go through other music sites and manually add every song so enjoy until they fix everything!
