Would You Wear Scented Nail Polish?

Strangebeautiful Perfume Polish, $28, anthropologie.com

We love perfume and we love nail polish. So when we learned about Strangebeautiful’s Perfume Polish, we knew that it would be right up our alley. The new offering is a collaboration between the creator of niche polish company Strangebeautiful, Jane Schub, and independent perfumer, Dawn Spencer Hurwitz.

The earthy fragrance is called Violet Leather and is a combination of black leather, tobacco, ylang ylang, tuberose, and sandalwood. What we think is so smart about this lacquer is that it’s clear, so it can be applied over any nail color. But buyer beware: The polish is pricey (a steep $28 a pop), especially when you consider that the fragrance only lasts for a day. But die-hard polish lovers are sure to eat this up, so if you’re interested, act fast and score your bottle at Anthropologie now.

DICKENS AND DARK VICTORIANA!

DICKENS VOLUME FROM STRANGEBEAUTIFUL

image

INSPIRED BY CHARLES DICKENS AND DARK VICTORIANA

Mulain loves the idea of nail polish shades inspired by literature.  This Dickensian Volume, a set of 10 deceivingly dark and metallic shades by the indie nail polish line StrangeBeautiful is uber cool and so different. Its creator, the designer-turned-beauty-entrepreneur Jane Schub, drew inspiration from Charles Dickens and also check out another volume inspired by the Brothers Grimm. Wear a different polish on each nail for the full effect.  Woo-hoo!

Check ‘em out my friends…don’t miss out on the fun.

StrangeBeautiful's "Volume V"

Inspired by menstrual blood, bruises and European painters, Volume V is an infinite price of $75, but it’s all the rage and ALREADY “sold out”!  With each polish named after what inspired the creators, StrangeBeautiful’s collection comes in ten bold shades and, if you’re lucky enough to find them on sale somewhere, these colours are definitely worth it!
