I think the only thing cooler than finding a new bird species, is finding an extinct bird species is still alive and surviving despite our best efforts to poison the world’s ecosystem. Thus the news from New Zealand is very cool! I hope this new designation gets more conservation funding to learn more about this tiny sea bird and find its breeding grounds.
