Day 2: Open Practice

So the open practice was awesome. Got started a little on the early side. Sat and watched them warm up and practice. Pia and Abby both had a interview there and cameras were everywhere. My dad was nice and got me a ball so everyone could sign cause I told him I just wanted Pinoe to sign my jersey. He had a blast, but he won’t admit it. 

The practice was awesome. The one funny/story thing I can remember at the moment is when someone put a cross in to Pinoe, she missed and yelled, “shit!!!” I was laughing. 

So the practice got done and some of the players walked over. Syd came right next to me up ending up going down the other way. So I didn’t get her, unfortunately. Then Rachel came by and signed my ball and was very apologetic of her sweat. I told her no worries and she was super nice! Down the way I saw Alex and Pinoe coming. I started getting more geeked. 

Alex finally made it and asked her to sign my ball and for a pic. That went so fast. It was an amazing experience to meet her and like I said, she was super nice and more gorgeous in person!

Then, I looked down and Pinoe was a couple people away. I started freaking out and dropped everything that was in my hands and got my jersey out. She came up and I COULD NOT SPEAK. She was like, “Nice, nice,” when I handed her my jeresey and she saw that it was her’s. I literally froze up and kinda just pointed where I wanted her to sign it. When she was finishing signing it, all I said was, “a picture too?” and she said sure! The next part I will never forget. She finished signing it and looked right at me. Alex and Rachel didn’t. To me, it felt like a life-time even though I know it was for like a half a second. She flashed that smile right at me. Then I turned and started putting my arm around her and then I thought, before I actually got my arm to her, “WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING TYLER?!?!” So I stopped and then she put hers around my back and that’s when the biggest smile on my face appeared. We took the pic and I thanked her and she said you’re welcome. 

That was it. I was, and still am, hyped from all of it. It would’ve been perfectly fine if I didn’t get blessed with meeting anyone and just had the experience of the open practice. Meeting those three made it just all that much better. I’m so thankful and still amazed from the experience. I keep forgetting it’s not over and I got a game to watch tomorrow!!!!
