Have you actually watched any games this season? Becaus eif you had you would know that Downing isnt complete trash! ffs give the guy some time to settle the fuck in. It took Lucas 2 years, yet we gave him time, it took Carroll 18 months+ yet you're willing to give him the time and Henderson has been as inconsistent as Downing yet you're willing to give him another season. So stop having double standards and give Downing a chance and another season and get behind him, don't just write him off!

Of all those players, Downing is the only one who we can’t described as “still young”. He’s a professional and has been playing in the Premier League for over 10 years! He’s a winger, an attacking player and yet he has not scored any goals or made any assists in the league this season. Sure, he needs time to adjust to Liverpool because they’re bigger than Aston Villa, and Middlesbrough, but he should still be able to perform against teams as big as those two - he scored against Liverpool for Villa last season even!
