Would you pay more in taxes under Mitt Romney's plan?
Spoiler alert: Probably yes.
“[If I tell people who Cumberbatch plays, they know that they] would have a five-second rush of exhilaration followed by four months of being completely and totally bummed out that they can’t tell anybody else and that when it gets revealed in the movie, it will have been spoiled for them. That’s why they’re called ‘spoilers,’ they’re not called ‘awesomes.’”
—Star Trek Into Darkness co-writer DAMON LINDELOF, on why neither he nor Roberto Orci nor JJ Abrams will reveal (presumed villain) Benedict Cumberbatch’s character — or much of the movie’s plot, for that matter.
Spoiler alert: this is awesome.

Videogames and their impacts.
I haven’t played a ton of games but the ones I have played, now that I think about it, have amazing messages to them.

Just look at the main character. He’s dead in one world, alive in another. He’s thrown between the two, trying to find his place. Even when Lynx takes over his body, though, he keeps fighting to live. He never gives up, and if you choose the path I usually do to get Glenn, Kid doesn’t either. She’s poisoned toward the beginning of the game and still fights on to find the Frozen Flame and take Lynx down. I haven’t finished Chrono Cross yet, but so far the message is clear. Never give up on what you believe. Live your life to its fullest.

Final Fantasy II taught me that people close to us die, but they want us to live on. I played Soul of Rebirth and saw the conversations the dead had about the living, worrying if they were alright and glad that they hadn’t joined them in death. It also taught me that real friendships are strong bonds. They’re hard to be broken.

Squall changes so much. He goes from I-don’t-care-about-anyone to No-you-can’t-die-on-me-you’re-so-important-to-me-I’d-give-my-life-for-you. Just look at how he turns out in Kingdom Hearts. That’s all because of the events in FF8. This game showed me that people change. Just because someone’s a jerk now doesn’t mean they always will be. You just have to work at it to make them change for the better. It’s time-consuming, yes, but it’s also worth it. It creates a bond that can never be broken.

Rose never gives up, never gives up hope, even though she’s 11,000 years old and has killed the same child many times. She does it to keep the world from being destroyed. She seems like a cold-hearted witch but in the end you can see how much she truly was hurt by her struggles. Yet she fights on.
Shana shows that women aren’t weaklings and they don’t have to depend on men to fight their battles for them. She and Miranda are closely linked in their message.
Dart starts out seeking revenge on Rose (though he doesn’t know until way later that it’s her) for destroying his hometown. But he moves on to more important matters. Revenge isn’t everything.
Haschel never gives up on searching for his daughter. She is the most important person to him and the entire reason he joins Dart and the rest of them in the first place is so he can maybe find her.
Lavitz demonstrates how important friendship and trust are. In the Death City, he appears to Dart and crew and explains what they meant to him and what King Albert meant to him.
Albert shows strength in youth. He shows that though we’ve gone through hard times, we’ll pull through somehow.
Kongol shows that being different ain’t so bad. You’ll always find someone who will be there for you.
Meru’s life was hard since she went out to the human world. The Winglies didn’t want her back, none of them but Guaraha. She may have been oblivious to Guaraha’s feelings, but she shows that even though we go through hard times we don’t have to make them seem so hard. There’s always someone or something to look forward to.
Lloyd shows how easily people can sway. In the end he realizes that Melbu Frahma’s way of creating a haven was not what should be. Destroying everything is not the answer. Find an alternate way to make everyone happy rather than destroying them all.
Linus shows what people will do for love.
The overall story demonstrates the strong bond of friendship and perseverance.

This game shows that you can choose your own path, though not right away. You have to listen in the beginning, and when the time comes, you are free to make your own choices.

This game. There is not nearly enough space I could use to write on this game. TWEWY sends such a powerful message of trust and love and friendship and hope and human nature that I can’t explain it very well. In order to understand, you need to play the game. It’s just such a powerful message, and each character is so different, even the villains. I really can’t explain it to anyone other than people who have played it, because they understand. The closest I can get is the wiki, maybe, for the storyline, but it’s not so much the storyline I’m talking about as it is the dialogue.
That and the Japanese name to this translates to It’s a Wonderful Life. The entire message in this game is in the words they use.

So next time you tells me that videogames have no meanings and they’re just for kicks, try actually paying attention to what happens in the game. A lot of the older games, especially, have very powerful messages that a lot of people just skip over. It took me today, with someone telling me that I can’t compare games to real life, to see the messages in all of them but TWEWY, which I’d seen as I was playing it. And I’ve played Legend of Dragoon countless times. The only one I recognized was special was Lavitz, but I realize that they all tell a story. So regardless of what you say, videogames are comparable to real life. Most of them are encouraging you to push on and live to the fullest. The creators understand that everyone has problems. They want you to understand that they understand as directly as they can without sending you a letter. A lot of games are like a letter to the masses. Don’t give up. You’ll get through the hard times.
The Odds Were Never in His Favor...

His soul had grown so weak from the fighting, from the pain he had endured. The last Colossus had been slain, the ritual complete. Now Dormin, the god of this ancient land would bring back the soul of his beloved.
Wander had not gotten along with Fate or rather Fate didn’t like the teen, sending him down a path of pain. It was destined for his beloved to die…it was destined for Wander to betray his village and steal their most ancient relic…it was destined that the teen face Colossus after Colossus until all of them fell and now…for once, Fate would be kind to him.
But no, Fate was cruel.
“We shall not bring thy Beloved back” Dormin said with humor “Thou were merely being used”
Wander stood in shock as he saw village soldiers standing over his beloved. Protectively he charged forward to protect his beloved from the others who had slain her once, he would not allow them to touch her. A soldier heard the boy’s footsteps and fired a single arrow from his cross bow, the steel tip hitting Wander in the thigh.

He fell from the pain, clutching his leg tightly as he rolled onto his back.
“He has become possessed by the souls of the dead!” shouted Emon “Slay him!”
A soldier approached the furious Wander. Standing over him, his brown irises staring into Wander’s own blue ones, the soldier that had once been Wander’s neighbor plunged his sword deep into his heart.

Even so, the teen endured, his body fighting death as struggled to rise to his feet. His friend backed away in terror as he looked upon Wander, he had not died. Wander pulled the arrow from his leg and rushed towards his former friend, shoving the steel tip into his throat. His friend, now turned enemy fell on his back, dead, his eyes staring off into emptiness.

The teen reached out towards his beloved as his strength began to fade. He had absorbed every shard of Dormin’s Essence…it made sense now…Wander’s body was simply a shell for the god to possess…now he know why the god agreed…Wander was simply being used.

He pulled the blade from his chest, his own blood erupting from the wound. Even his blood wasn’t his own anymore…he had become something other than human, his blood had turned black…like the Colossus…could it be that he was the final Colossus?

The sword fell from his hands as his legs gave out. Quickly the boy fell to his knees before falling face forward, his eyes remaining on his beloved the entire time. “Why?” he breathed. The village elder and soldiers had turned away from him and did not noticed that Dormin was slowly possessing the warriors body. The black veil quickly began to envelop the teen, soon his soul would die and Dormin would return to this world and only the heavens know what kind of woe he would bring to this world.
However in his moment of weakness, he gained strength through rage and despair as the Elder slit his beloved’s throat to ensure that she could never return to the land of the living. In an instant, the veil began to receede as he struggled to maintain control of his body
“Could this be?!?!” the god said in surprise “Thou art resisting Our control?”

The transformation had been complete, Wander had all the powers of Dormin yet remained in control, Wander had resisted Dormin’s control. His brown hair had lost all color and turned an unnatural white and his eyes began to glow violently. His anger had allowed the boy to remain in this world and now he was all but invincible.
The fight was over before it began and scattered around him were the remains of the soldiers, Emon the only one left alive, the old man’s eyes wide with fear. He begged for his life, for forgiveness, but Wander had no place in his heart for forgiveness. His fingers tightened around the elders neck, squeezing ever so gently as he heard the bone in his neck shatter. Wander had the strength of every Colossus he had slain, all of their powers and all of their durability. By all meanings he could not die not by the hands of man or god, the only thing that could destroy him rested at his side. The Sacred Blade.
After the death of the elder Wander’s rage began to ebb away and with his rage so did his strength and soon the teen passed out from the wounds he had received. Before he lost consciousness he watched as his skin began to fill with color and watched as a sigil like those of the Colossus formed on his right arm.

He woke in a place he had not fallen, rather in a much stranger land. The sun was setting over the hillside and darkness was soon to disperse over the land. Where was he? He looked down at his arm and saw the sigil glowing a bright blew against his skin and knew what it meant. The boy was the Last Guardian, he held inside him all of Dormin’s power. He closed his eyes as his fingers quickly curled into a fist before relaxing and dropping his hand to his side.
“If this is my fate then so be it” he said quietly as he began to explore his new location.
THE VILLAGE(SPOILER ALERTS I THINK)
