South Wedge-Ucation 2011
What nice days these have been! My first day of class was very tough on me. It’s hard not knowing my classmates, or basically anyone on my campus, and it was a huge culture shock to me. But by the end of the week things were really looking up. I ended up running into people I’d worked with the year before, and it’s been refreshing to see familiar faces. It’s been much easier for me to talk to people as well, and I’m actually quite enjoying myself.
Today was the South Wedge’s Wedge-Ucation event. Until this morning, I knew nothing about it. I saw a post by Eco Bella on facebook saying they were going to have mini cupcakes and mini brownies for .50 cents, so of course I had to check it out!
It was great! I’ve never seen so many people in the South Wedge. All the local stores were offering deals of 2 for 1 and half off and were giving away free stuff. The South Wedge is really a fun place and has some pretty cool people. I ran into Colette at Thread, ate some delicious meatballs at Mise en Place, talked to some really cool people at the South Wedge booths, and got a nice bag ‘o swag.
Thank you to all the store and vendors and volunteers involved, and thank you to everyone who showed up! It was a lot of fun!

Annnnnd I'm off!
Packing up some stuff to go home for the day/night.I’ll have the house to myself since my mom is going out of town.I have found that the library on campus isn’t all that quiet no matter what floor you’re on, and I can’t deal with the amount of noise the person that lives above me makes.
On my way home I’ll be stopping at my faaavorite coffee shop,ever! Equal Grounds. If you live in the Rochester area,preferably near the South Wedge,I urge you to go.They have an amazing collection of books,and they have a ton of games you can play.You can easily lose track of time there.Sometimes I think it’s pricey but then I remember that Starbucks charges roughly the same,and I’d rather support a local business than a chain store.
