Blast from the past || Rory & Jack

Rory walked down the side walk listening to music and admiring the city she regretfully left behind. It felt good to be back in her rightful home, but she felt ultimately sad as well. She came back and felt more like a tourist than a resident. She’d been gone for three years and New York already made her feel like a stranger. She hadn’t seen a familiar face in two weeks since she returned, but I guess that’s the big apple for ya. All she knew was that Vegas didn’t compare to New York, and she was happy to be back. She was looking forward to no longer being a magician’s assistant. She knew she had potential deep down to be a solo act, and she intended on being what she wants. But she didn’t know where to start.

She pulled out her phone to change her song, and scrolled through her iTunes library. As she clicked on a new song, she looked up just in time to run right into someone. She even hit them so hard that she stumbled to the ground. She was such a klutz and it was honestly quite embarrassing. “I’m SO sorry,” she called out while getting up, dusting some dirt off her dress.

Jack sat in a tree, overlooking his frozen lake. His bare feet dangled over the branch, his staff clutched loosely in his right hand. Children had been running here, there and everywhere around the place, playing in the snow and throwing snowballs around. But now it was dusk and they’d been called away home by parents, one by one. As the last child left Jack got up to call to the wind, when he saw a girl standing alone.

He peered at her with a slight frown, but figured she couldn’t see him. Many people couldn’t, after all.

“Hey girlie, it’s getting a little late. Should be getting home, right?” he called with a grin.

Shannen&Tom || thatxmythical

Tom had been walking down the dark street in search of a good place to get a drink — he had only just rocked into town that night and had yet to find anywhere to stop the night, but that wasn’t his priority, he needed alcohol.

He took a deep breath of the cool night air, his eyes falling shut with a happy sigh at the feeling — it soothed his burning skin, but it also made him crave one if his cancer sticks.

Pulling out a pack from his pocket, he lit the cigarette and placed it between his teeth before continuing along his path, barely noticing the humans around him, their thoughts were just a gentle buzz in the back of his mind.

Fun in the Sun||@yeahinmyhead

Everything felt so warm. It had been forever since they had been here, and the last time was under less satisfactory circumstances. Marlene and Denzel were already setting up camp along the shore, leaving her to unpack things at the inn. “Cloud~!” she called out over her shoulder as she unbuckled her suitcase on the bed. They were staying at Costa Del Sol for a few days to enjoy the sun and summer itself. The kids had begged and Cloud didn’t have any deliveries for the week. Tifa knew this would be the perfect time for them all to just have a break. Besides, she wanted to treat her friend to some relaxation—though she had to remind herself that they were only ever going to be friends.

She was pulling out her bathing suit as she started growing more impatient. She never knew where that blond was. “Cloud, are you ready yet?! They’re expecting us down at the beach!”

Married || Scerica

Scott had decided to surprise his wife and get her some flowers from the flower shop down the street, looking for the perfect bouquet until he had decided on classic red roses, paying for them before getting into his car and driving to her house.

But if they were married, why did she live somewhere else? Maybe it was her parents idea, since they were young. He shrugged to himself before turning on the radio, a cheesy love song coming on. Normally Scott would groan and change it, but today he started belting out the lyrics, smiling to himself as he drove.

When he pulled into her driveway, he noticed that her parents weren’t home, which made him happy. It was better if they weren’t there, in case they had some ‘alone’ time. He bounded up to the front steps two feet at a time, knocking on the door before saying. “Baby, it’s me! I have a surprise for you.”

Late Night and New Friends

Liliana galloped into the middle of the sleepy town well after dark. A few people milled about in the streets but all of them kept their heads down.

Laughter and shouts came from the tavern at the corner of the town square. Having her horse trot up to the tavern, tied it up, then walked inside her hood still drawn over her head. She picked the farthest corner of the room but still she felt eyes upon her no matter what.

Riza led the young woman out of the dark building, knowing she wouldn’t even know where they were.
Where were they?
She looked around. She didn’t know herself.
Riza tried to stay calm, scanning their surroundings, noticing a familiar building a few hundred yards away. She ran forward, hoping Lan Fan could keep up and stepped into the courtyard, turning to her follower.
“I’ll bring you to my apartment for a few hours until this wears off, you can feel free to ask any questions that you have, but I’m not promising I know all the answers… okay?”
