What did all the other shinobis including Naruto’s friends do? They almost gave up fighting because they though that without Naruto’s chakra they are weak and lost. Everyone on the battlefield thought Naruto is protecting them only because they are weak and didn’t say anything for Naruto shouldering everything alone..except one person. (we are going on Itachi’s words again)
Yes, Minato was the Hokage but it was all because he had his friends and especially Kushina by his side. His friends trusted him but Kushina knew the real him, Kushina knew his weaknesses, his feelings, how he felt and never once left his side.
The thing is I am impressed how big is the contrast between everyone else and Sakura. She knew what Naruto felt, she knew the real reason he is fighting and the truth behind his words…
IIn the end no matter how much you don’t want to accept it or how much you refuse it.. it’s Sakura who understands him the most, she is the one who sees the real him, she is the one trying to get the burden away from him like always. This is their bond. No one understands Naruto like Sakura. No one understands Sakura like Naruto. Get over it.
And why didn’t Naruto say a word? Because he knows what Sakura is capable of, he knows that she understands him the most, he knows that she can see what is in his heart. That’s why he didn’t say anything. He knows what she says is true.
The same situation with Minato and Kushina.
At first we can all see his expression. We know how he reacts. At first he doesn’t say anything at all because he knows what is in her heart. He knows what she wants to do - to protect them. That is what she cares about the most right now. He knows what is in her heart just like Kushina knows what is in his. She knows how Minato feels. This is a bond created between them.
They are both exhausted. They are both thinking about how to save the most precious tho them. And this is what makes them strong. No matter what happens Kushina will protect Naruto and Minato, no matter how weak she is at that point and that probably it will take all her chakra, Sakura will help Naruto and heal him because she wants to protect him. Yes- protection is not only putting yourself in front of death just to cause more pain. Protection is simply caring, wanting to be there for the precious ones and do whatever it is in your power for them to be safe.
Naruto knows all of that, that’s why he didn’t say a word. He believes in her as much as she believes in him. His daddy is here and they will probably fight together and guess what :
Who was there when Minato arrived ? Who got Naruto’s back? Who was the girl standing next to Naruto, giving courage to the alliance ? Can you explain Naruto’s reaction now? His father and his girl are next to him and they will fight. How do you expext him not to be happy? (omg I just want Kushina to be there too and the family is whole again -sobs- )
The sum up: My point is that no matter how strong Minato and Naruto were it was because they have friends and strong women like Kushina and Sakura there for them. “Because behind every great man there is a great woman” dattebane

I will never promote hate through shipping another couples. It disgusts me that such a thing exists. It seemed to me that our fandom is not promoting anything like that. There is no room for it.

on the topic of using Black vernacular to sell and be cool
my sister has informed me that her very rich and white institution of higher learning now has white sorority girls from some of the richest places in the country saying YOLO. i think it’s time to retire that word lol. it made me start conversing with my room mate about how a lot of our vernacular has to make cycles and rotations because once white people start using it frequently it’s not cool or ours anymore. and so we gotta bring some old stuff back. i mean, i use words like bomb, whack and ill still lol. but because they are not part of the common white copy cat vernacular tryna steal our shit. i don’t use words like yolo or swag. you know what we call swag in my house? fucking denim jackets on old dudes lmao. but that mcdonalds thing about them making those commercials with Black casts to sell that shit to white audiences made things make a bit more sense. cause those ads are horrible to just about every Black person i talk to. but white folks prolly think shit is cool. and they copy and use the vernacular. and it sounds shitty and gross and appropriated. and we gotta change shit and recycle and invent new vernacular so we can keep our stuff to ourselves.
will never understand some people’s fascination to serial killers, granted their brains are perfect subjects to study the prevention of more serial killers, but I just never got what was so hip about it. I say hip because from what I see, some people actually glamorize it and shed light on the “theatrical” aspect of the serial killer’s actions. what does amaze me is the complete opposite, when people do random / selfless acts of kindness and bravery. let’s be real the way we live is pretty fuckin crazy so how is it even mysterious let alone “hip” when these killers act as they were taught? crazy to me is when a person does something nice, and I mean crazy in a good way.. like “yo I wasn’t expecting that, thanks man” kind of nice.
Western science, with all its advancements, still has many obstacles to get out of its way before it can reach its potential to be a helpful tool. Among those obstacles, is the inclusion of groups; there’s still a lot of sexist, racist, and elitist attitudes that roam within the heads of the western science enthusiast and it is so evident with both its crowd and those who practice it. They preach the word of science so often and so well, but when you look at their action and choice of content and expression it’s obvious what they prefer is only the idealism of western science. Talk about inclusion and watch them try and shun you from the discussion as if these things are below them or are just not important.
This isn’t to say racism and sexism in science stem from the western world alone, it’s a world wide epidemic. Yet these attitudes seem so prevalent and rampant here in the west. It’s hard no to notice how destructive it is to science as a whole considering you know, the fact that science is supposedly a self correcting tool. But what happens when a large portion of people hold on to these racist or sexist ways of thought while trying to promote science? I wouldn’t exactly call that self correcting or learning from past mistakes. If anything that is completely the opposite of what science truly is..
Trust
My trust isn’t a handout, I don’t just give it away. There are people in my life who I can trust with anything and everything and do the same for me. Those people are the ones who have made the biggest impacts on my life, the ones that feel as though they are family. But once you do something to lose my trust, I’m not gonna give it back to you just because you said your sorry. I’ve been hurt too many times from people who I thought I could trust to do so.
I will more than gladly accept your apology but I will not just hand you my trust. Words won’t earn my trust back, actions will.

Sometimes I feel like I’m the only one that thinks of the Martells as more from Spain than the Middle East. I mean, come on. If the whole thing pulls bits and pieces from Europe, the Martells are TOTALLY the Spanish. Right down to the spicy food.

BELIEVE IT OR NOT, YOU CAN BE PERSIAN AND LOOK WHITE. She is described as “olive-toned” in the books. That can be a range of shades. CHILL.

Okay that’s some ranting there.
Wouldn’t life be so much easier if we knew how everyone felt? We spend so much time agonising that the person we like probably doesn’t even notice us, wouldn’t even like us, we waste time and opportunities. What if they liked you too, and they were too scared to talk to you? If people were honest with their feelings, or if you just knew where you stood with someone, life would be so simple.
I am extremely disappointed in Asad for taking so many steps forward only to take a leap back once again to the same Akdu position. Having said that i am hoping that the CVs will take us of out of this boring rut of misunderstanding soon!
Hopefully Zoya finds out about Tanveer and then we see AWESOME scenes of Detective Zoya trying to uncover her. The way the CVs have been setting up the recent scenes it looks like she’ll be the one who will uncover TKB’s truth.
MAYBE even Tamatar finds out and teams up with her!!! (i will NEVER give up on that dream of mine) and then it will be all so much fun!
Also i see the new montage with them smiling and together as hopefully a positive turn of events - confession!- before the actual storm.
When people downplay someone else’s interest in wanting to either express, report, talk about, or argue about science or scientific literacy [and lots of times this is applicable to other subjects] you’re basically ruining one of the key things that makes an educated public.. educated, and that’s public discourse. If you have a problem with citizens taking on citizen science/journalism and other projects that require a citizen to think scientifically or critically or use his or her resources in much the same way a scientist/ reporter would then you are part of the problem on why intelligent public discourse doesn’t happen often.
You essentially stomp a growth or good idea before it even happens. It’s good to doubt, don’t get me wrong but when you start being more critical and opposed to normal every day citizens trying to educate their fellow communities but don’t show the same effort to resist when someone starts talking to you about your favorite tv shows, movies, characters, celebrities, gadgets all of the sudden all ears are on them. Why is that? Why do alarms set off when you try to speak the truth or sense or reason but when it’s obviously and ultimately nonsense all eyes, ears and thoughts are on full alert. Don’t you think there’s something terribly wrong with that behavior?
Just some thoughts about my straightedge lifestyle.
I may not know that much about myself, but my personal policy on illegal substances is something that I’m sure about.
I’m so adamant about abstaining from drugs and alcohol (alcohol until I’m of age) that I know that if I ever find myself questioning my morals because of the intentional or unintentional influence of someone else, that’s a sign to get that person out of my life.
There may be some things I would change about myself for other people, but my straightedge-ness is one part of me that no one but myself will ever have control over.
So I was like: “Wow, it’s really hot in here! I should go outside and feel the sun, it’s amazing. Spring everywhere! Why shouldn’t I go and listen to birds?”
And then I went on my balcony and the first thing I heard wasn’t birds - it was somebody’s Window’s system opening tune all over my neighborhood. It was a sound of destiny, that’s why im here back again.
This sound was calling me. Outside life is not for me.

The way that some of the fandom treats Roslin is shocking… I doubt that she had much choice at all in the RW plot. Of course she would be loyal to the Frey’s (a family who she was completely dependent on) at first rather than the Tully’s who she knows nothing of. As a Frey woman her level of personal autonomy must have been incredibly low. They probably didn’t give her a choice. If she hadn’t gone along with the wedding or had warned Edmure, it’s likely that her family would have harmed her (psychologically or physically) and she could have died during the RW.
Roslin seems like a pleasant character. It’s important to note that all of her full-brothers (from the same mother) are all pro-Stark and decent people compared to the other Frey children. The poor girl has grown up in quite an unpleasant setting so a marriage to Lord Tully must have seemed quite attractive. She also didn’t seem too happy during the run up to the red wedding. Her tears could suggest that she felt guilty and didn’t want to partake in the plot. That may demonstrate that her moral compass is on straight and she’s a sympathetic character.
It’s also very poignant that she are Edmure are fond of each other. I believe that there’s real affection in that relationship; Roslin wishes for her child to be a girl because she wants Edmure to survive. If Edmure likes her and can forgive her for the role that she played during the RW, that’s enough for me.
