Beauty And The Beauty

After a post about eskimeaux the other day I heard from Edible Onion, the Philadelphia-based record label who “hope to put something beautiful back into the art of releasing music amidst the frenzy of the digital world,” something I think they accomplish quite well in light of the way they a) contacted me in earnest support one of their own, and b) go all out with their album art and packaging. Snow Caps is a perfect example of this.

Snow Caps is Philadelphia native Andrew Keller whose second album Moonbreak dropped February 15th and sports some of the finest packaging (by artist Emily Royer) for an album I’ve seen in a long while. Equally as pleasing are the bedroom-born, sensible pop tunes that fill the album out - Beauty And The Beauty (above) is like something I’d expect to hear while taking in the Italian countryside, and Moonbroken Heart (below) is simply delightful.

It’s good to find an artist who has heart. It’s even better when that artist has some solid backing like Snow Caps does with Edible Onion. Pick up Moonbreak at the website and check out Moonbroken Heart below.
