If men don't have the ability to control themselves...

when looking at a woman who bares her skin in public, he should be fitted with a shock collar. Whenever he says or does something vulgar- ZAP. Problem should be solved in a generation or two. problem?

SlutWalk 2012

I am the SlutWalk

I am the little girl*, the woman* on the street, the boy* and man*, the mother, daughter, doctor, sex-worker, minister, orphan, riot grrrl, I am the manager, street cleaner, all genders and queer, I am naked and high-necked, I come from all continents and all towns, from the most diverse houses and am on all ways, I am a human being who has a right to life and physical integrity - and I am powerless.

But everywhere on this planet I am awakening from this powerlessness and make a stand against rape-culture as a WE, to say it out loud here and now:

IT IS ENOUGH!

Don’t tell us what to wear so you won’t rape us!

Don’t tell us who to love so you can accept it!

Don’t touch us - unless we said YES very clearly - only so you can feel powerful!

Don’t force us into a gender just because you don’t understand that there are more than two!

Don’t ever touch our children! Ever!

Don’t tell us it’s our fault if we experience sexualized violence because you’re a judge, an officer or whoever.

Don’t tell us that we’re lying or that it wasn’t as bad as we make it, because YOU have no clue what it was like.

Don’t bar us from loving however, whenever and whomever we want.

Don’t rate or disadvantage us based on our body and what we do with it because YOU think you have a right to.

We are angry because we’re not protected and heard enough by the police , prosecution and judges.

We are angry because we’re being told that our clothes, our identity, our sexual orientation or our gender are the responsible if we’re victims of sexualized violence.

We are angry, if even then we’re being talked down to about how bad it actually was/wasn’t..

WE did NOT provoke you, invite you, solicit you, encouraged you or asked you to:

… molest us

… pester us

… offend us

… touch us

… refer to us as “perverts” because we’re gay, bi and/or queer

… tell your friends we’re sluts because we have sex when, how and with whom we want.

… to violate us or threaten us

… to rape us!

YOU, the perpetrator, are ALWAYS and 100 %ly responsible for your action and NO PERSON has the right to take this responsibiliy away from you and push it onto us, the (potential) victims.

Together we will be loud, we will rise against sexualized violence and its trivilization, against slut-shaming, victim-blaming and rape-myths!

And for our right of self-determination considering our body, gender, sexual orientation, behavior, looks and choice of clothing.

Because we have had enough! Once and for all! We are strong, loud, angry, we are many and we are morally and lawfully RIGHT.

WE are the SlutWalk

Together, we will walk the streets in Berlin on September 15th, 2012. Loud or quiet, precatory, claiming, angry, silent or screaming - however we want - but above all, showing solidarity.

We are the SlutWalk, a big, worldwide movement, whoever we are, however we define ourselves, wherever we come from or want to go, no matter how poor or rich, whether we have a school diploma or not, whether we’re politically motivated and/or personally affected.

We have the chance to change these things! Let us take it!
