Dandelions

I’m looking for dandelions
Gone to seed
To blow with all my might.
I was always told, “Don’t spread the seeds!”

But what’s more fun
That blowing the fluff
Off a dandelion?

What’s more fun
Than hiking off the path
Into the middle of a field,
To spread the seeds of countless dandelons,
And knowing they’ll come back
Again next year?

I think I’ll grow a garden
Filled with dandelions.
And every summer
When they’re all fluffy,
Take a leaf blower
And share the magic
Of dandelion blowing.
