Additional non-round numbers
As many of you know, we have added the ability for our tea blenders to pair up (ship) their creations. The reasoning was that some teas need to be purchased as sets in order to be fully appreciated (think Sherlock/Watson, The Doctor/Amy, Stiles/Derek, Hermione/Ronald, GLADoS/Chell etc). We are happy to say that in the 6 months since we launched the feature, you have created 1693 ships. Said another way, 3386 teas have found a soulmate :)
Gurren Teas Project
So, lately I’ve been making custom tea blends for Gurren Lagann characters over on Adagio Teas. (You can already view and order Simon’s blend.)
I’d asked Figgy to make the labels for me (because I can’t draw and I don’t want them to look like ass), and she suggested that it might be fun to have multiple artists do the labels, as a sort of little fandom project. So…would anyone be interested? :D;

So far I’ve tried the Simon, Nia, Kamina, and Yoko teas and am pretty pleased with the results! As soon as I have labels for them, they’ll be made available for everyone to order. I haven’t tried the Kittan, Viral, Messenger, or Garlock teas yet, and probably won’t until I’ve made some progress drinking the teas I already have, so those won’t be made available until then.
If you’d like to draw a label, please drop me a note and I’ll give you the details of the tea(s). I’m not picky about the design; my only requirements are that they depict the characters, are in color, and I’d prefer post-timeskip versions of the characters (with the exception of Kamina, obviously). You can use Figgy’s completed Simon label as a template, or do something different if you’d prefer. Be as creative as you want and have fun with it!
EDIT: Oh man, I forgot to mention, the labels should be 700x300 pixels. x__x;

So over the summer I bought some of Cara’s teas, through a 221B Toronto group buy.
I really like three of them, but I have a mostly full bag of “I am SHERLocked”, and an even more full bag of “Mycroft”.
I’m not a fan of the sherlocked one, and I do like the Mycroft one, it’s just not my cup of tea (snorggle).

That’s alright, it’s understandable, and some people who are following me may not have heard about the trend/bandwagon I’m finally jumping on, so this might be useful information for other people, too!
It’s a custom tea blend I made on Adagio.com . On Adagio, you can use some of the teas they sell to make your own blends and flavors on the site - and a popular thing to do that they support is Fandom Blends, where people make tea blends based on their favorite characters and series as well as draw or otherwise make the label artwork for them.
It’s been very popular over the past few years and there are now over 36,000 custom blends on Adagio, the majority of them being from fandoms/series/universes such as Marvel, DC, Supernatural, Sherlock, Doctor Who, and others. In particular, Cara McGee (areyoutryingtodeduceme) is the real star of the show when it comes to Fandom Blends and is very well known for her artwork/style and teas.
So, I’ve been doing MTG-themed tea blends for each of the Planeswalkers~
Buying Signature Blends from users gives the creators points they can use toward gift certificates they can use to buy more tea from Adagio, though they cannot be redeemed for cash.

The Zodiac Series was inspired by Adagio Teas’ signature blends program that allowed me the freedom to create teas that captured the personality and mood of each sign of the zodiac. Originally meant to give to a friend, I realized that it would be an easy and interesting way to find your own personal blend and a great gift idea.
Each tea is a combination of complementary flavors that are all delicious, no matter what sign you are. They range from the rich black blend of the Scorpio to the light peach flavor of the Gemini. I like having a few of the zodiac teas in my cupboard so I can pick and choose depending of my mood. I encourage everyone to try their sign, find the blend that appeals to you, or give one to a friend!

Tutu Teas Project
For those not familiar with my previous project, here’s what it was about: I made custom tea blends for Gurren Lagann characters over at Adagio Teas, and wanted some neat labels for them. The problem was, I can’t draw. So I started a small fandom project asking multiple artists to make the labels for me. You can see the results here. It was really fun! :)
Long story short, I’ve been making tea blends for Princess Tutu characters too, and now would like to try the same thing with the Princess Tutu fandom!
So if you are an artist and would like to contribute, here are the rules:
- The labels should be 700x300 pixels and in color. I would also prefer that you add the backgrounds/fonts yourself.
- I’m not picky about the design, but I ask that each label represent at least two of the character’s personas (or three, in Tutu/Ahiru’s case). How you do this is up to you. Be as creative as you want!
- There is no deadline for when you should complete the labels. As long as it’s not like half a year or something, you can take your time until you’re happy with it!
- When finished, you can post it on Tumblr with the tag “tutu teas.” And if you could also send me an ask telling me you finished, I would really appreciate it!

I would have made Drosselmyer’s favorite blend too, but Adagio Teas doesn’t offer darjeeling as one of its blending options. :(

All the characters except Kittan have now been taken! Thank you all, I can’t believe how quickly they were claimed!! Now if I can only find someone for poor Kittan… XD
