ooooogh I wish I knew more about AC Templars so I could inspire you to awful things re: crossover shenanigans, but all I know about Templars, period, is “crusaded a bunch” and “dan brown wouldn’t shut up about them”

tbh, I don’t know much about Templars either, but AC makes them pretty darn evil (whether they know it or not).  It’s just the perfect setup for Laurence, I think.  He’ll have his teachings and tenets, and he’ll truly believe that he’s doing something for the greater good. Then Tharkay comes swaggering in and PLOT happens, involving a lot of questionable subtext, and probably Tharkay showing him a thing or two about good/evil gradients. And somehow I have to work the dragons in. :|

Also if Tharkay had a best friend in this verse, it would be Malik. Snark all day, everyday. (Plus it would be hilarious with Malik being more upfront about things while Tharkay is all about the subtle insults; they compliment each other, so god help the poor novice who does something stupid in front of them.) oh gosh, now i sort of want to write Malik/Tharkay where all they do is just banter and things start exploding-
