au… cw for death and fire. um, it’s a bit twisted, i guess? i’m not sure about this one, but i hope you like it. (mentions of sam/jess)
Cassie’s father dies two years after Cassie has left college. Her mother doesn’t cope well alone, ringing Cassie twice a day to talk. Eventually, she decides to give up her job as a columnist for her local paper and moves back into her mother’s house in Missouri.
She knows everyone in town and everyone in town knows her, and if that’s what happiness is, then Cassie is happy. She takes a job as a freelancer, travelling to outlying towns for stories to sell. Sometimes, when the days drag on and the only stories are the ones she makes up in her head to while the time away, she longs to drive further: over the state line and off into the sunset.
Let’s remember that Dean was the first person to understand what Jo meant in “Abandon All Hope” when she started listing…
Exactly. I think he’s very good in applied sciene and chemistry/physics. He also has a good memory, because he remembers sigils right off the bat even when he sees it just once. Like Balthazars spell in “My heart will go on” or even Castiel’s banishing sigil aka “learned that from my friend Cas”. I also think Dean is a pragmatic type of guy, who is more of a science fiction, dystopia Vonnegut reader (humanism) rather than fantasy (Lovecraft). Obviously he has to look up all the mythology, lore and whatnot and he has an extensive knowledge on all things supernatural, but to me it seems more like business rather than pleasure.
Pleasure would be Brave New World, Fahrenheit 451, Nineteen Eighty-Four.
Business is the Bible and his father’s journal.

supernatural has stopped making me happy. i watch for deancas alone at this point and the way the actors/writers treat them is so problematic
I’ve never wanted to stage a coup of the writers room more
seriously though like why does this ship still hurt me why am I not over it

singingtomorrows said: i think genderflipping is quite cool!! and i think it is completely up to you but i absolutely adore female bahorel? haha.
Ok, I’m thinking Grantaire and Bahorel are musts. Also like the idea of Feuilly and ‘Ferre. That gives me a 4:5 ratio of girls to boys, which is decent. Hm. I can work with this, yes.
Also. Modern context; genderflipping; personal tragedy - more character development.
I’m starting to get a bit excited.
I am in love with the gif that is my new sidebar image! thank you to the amazing sherierenescott for making it for me <3
