Tonight I am seeing The Subways by myself

If you/yr pals are going, say hi/tell them to say hi.

I’ll be the awkward bearded one looking awkward and bearded.

Any freshers who just moved to Sheffield and need advice on where to go out (i.e. where’s cheap and where’s good) drop me an ask, I’m a second year now and I’m happy to dish out advice or encouragement or cooking tips. I know how hard it is being away from home properly for the first time.

I know basically no-one going to Sheffield Uni and have not even been able to find anybody in my flat. Please become friends with me if you’re going so I’m not completely alone.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS. we won varsity for the first time in 10 years! i feel so proud of my uni :’)

Forgot to set a timer on my tea and now I’m opening the oven every two seconds to see when it’s done but I JUST DON’T KNOW.

DILEMMA.

Sheffield was super nice and everyone was lovely, especially the staff in the English department and I really want to go. The buildings all seemed really nice too and the other people I saw at the open day seemed friendly and oh so attractive (not that it matters…) and um, yeah… all the stuff they talked about to do with the English course seemed really interesting and right up my street and the theatre that’s really a church that they use as one of the rehearsal spaces for drama was really quaint and cosy. Also, SIMON ARMITAGE is apparently their newest member of staff. Might have just misheard that but if not then that’s pretty impressive.
