show!Brienne is already marred from book!Brienne due to e10 when she killed those men cold-bloodedly. (in the book if you recall Brienne cried the first time she killed a man.) She’s older (not 17/18) and more callous and has probably seen worse.
Yeah, I just don’t consider that scene to be a marring…. and I didn’t think it was wrong for her character, even it is pushing the boundaries a bit. I still think it fits into her concepts and world view of honor and morality. There is some book structure there, yk?
With the “You sound like a bloody woman” line, that definitely the opposite of what she would say.
You know, as much as I harsh on the show, I feel I often give them a pass for certain changes that are more or less filling in action, and that help move plot along, and I’d put that Brienne scene in that category.
Like the Stannis stuff? Lol, I think some of the changes to Stannis’ character have been pretty good… *pretty sure that’s an unpopular opinion.*
