Though the “25th Hour” is not about the 9/11 tragedy, the aftershocks of it are felt throughout the movie. Filmed right after 9/11 and released a year later, the aftermath of 9/11 is felt throughout the whole movie from the remains of ground zero to the posters of the missing and memorials to those who were killed.

Despite the fact that “The Siege” was filmed three years before 9/11. It accurately predicted the paranoia , overreaction and loss of liberties that 9/11 would bring. In the movie after the FBI office is bombed, and Islamic terror cells begin plaguing America, Muslims are rounded up into internment camps.

The Tragedy of a Generation
9/11, Ten years later. Its really been an entire decade. So much sorrow, sadness, and patriotism has flowed through the nation since that day. And, just as with every other anniversary since, we spend today in moments of reflection. A time to remember that which we will never forget and the lives lost because of it.

Some people are jackasses. But I’m really glad my high school AES facilitator stepped up and said something. He’s one out of the two faculty/staff that made a difference in my life in high school. And I just hate people otherwise. Fucking dumbasses.
