14. What was your favorite TV show when you were a child?
by several thousand miles it was Bucky O’Hare. well, no, it depends on what age I was, but anywhere between seven and eleven, for some reason a cartoon about a green rabbit in space dealing out justice to toads with the aid of his inappropriately curvy magic cat sidekick was just the best thing I had ever seen. I honestly don’t know why I loved it so much, except that Jenny was a telepathic cat and I’m pretty sure that’s what I thought I was when I was seven. I also dearly loved Timebusters, a kids’ game show so obscure even the internet doesn’t remember it (teams of kids would go into ‘the past’ to fix rips in time, aided and hindered by terrible actors in period dress - amazing), and The Girl From Tomorrow, which I think was categorically my favourite once the green rabbit thing was over. a bunch of other things too but we’d be here all night :x
29. What’s the name of your favorite restaurant?
I’ve spent all day trying to work out what the answer to this is :x I have loved places all over the world because they had exactly what I wanted when I happened to be there, and a lot of the best restaurants I’ve been to were with my parents as a kid and thus I didn’t pay a lot of attention to what they were called. currently my favourite place to eat is the Power Station in Wapping, but that only works if someone else is paying :x I don’t know. maybe one of the places we went to in Venice. but some days I’d answer KFC and have done with it, so :x
50. Why do you have a tumblr?
originally because two of the most important people in my life had got them, and I needed one in order to be able to follow and like things on theirs. then because I got sucked in to how amazing it was to be able to search for things and find other people who loved the things I loved - I remember the amazing, beautiful novelty of that when I was fourteen and first started exploring the internet, and I’d retreated from online interaction so much that I’d lost it entirely by the time I came here. totally forgotten how it was to find a stranger who cares about what you do, or sees things in the same way. so then I stayed, and now…I don’t know, because it hasn’t got old yet? because I’ve made sort-of-friends here and that never loses its novelty either; because the ‘you’re not allowed to do anything you enjoy’ police haven’t turned up yet and evicted me; because it gives my guys somewhere to post things and that’s important to me; because the focus on pictures over words means I don’t feel the same pressure to be dazzling all the time I used to on LiveJournal; because it’s always presenting me with new amazing things and I don’t want to leave before the show’s over. lots of reasons, but mainly because nobody’s yet ordered me to leave.

scavengedluxury reblogged this from you and added:
Have you been there, Ross? I’m glad they’ve not altered it too much inside but they seem to be a little confused on their recent revamp – there are lava lamps on each table and the back room and toilet have been questionably wallpapered to look ‘groovy’… The woman that served us last time we went was really friendly and chatty and we had ice cream sundaes and knickerbocker glories. They still serve cups of Bovril. Bloody great! It’s still a family business, as far as I’m aware.
There are still branches running in Blackpool and Brid.
The Battersea one was running as an Italian restaurant, with 60s frontage, up until at least ten years ago but has since changed hands. The Sunderland branch was demolished, along with the rest of that block of shops. The one in Seaburn has long since gone too.
Have you been to Alonzi’s and Pacitto’s in Scarborough? If you love ice cream bars they’re both a treat. Not been to Jaconelli’s kiosk but it’s touted as a Scarborough institution.

If people did that in Nottingham they’d run the risk of getting punched for covering up one of the numerous floral/graffiti tributes that adorn our trees!
I hear, besides the propensity for getting punched, england is well known for its graffiti? or maybe it’s just the fame of banksy that gives me that impression. i know that here in indianapolis and the suburb I live in, graffiti is either covered up quickly or just not as courageous and progressive. although, I probably just don’t look hard enough.

I knew something dramatic was going to happen, because everyone who had read the books was dropping hints. So I was kind of on edge for the whole episode, but I wasn’t expecting that. So brutal.I knew it was coming and it was still distressing.

Ive seen those- titchy witchy. Even smaller than the new Pentax compact system camera.
Inconceivably tiny! Shot my first film on it today, which was a hell of a lot of fun. My first time using 110 since I used my Action Man with a camera in his stomach when I was like 5!

Where is that?!?
It’s called Atomic Burger, they have another one in the UK, it’s in Bristol. If you’re in either town, you should definitely go.
Honestly, the nerd in me was going insane, there was even a miniature TARDIS hanging from the ceiling.

The lights go on tomorrow.. it’s not German this year though, it’s “winter wonderland”. There’s apparently going to be a Narnia bar you enter through a wardrobe!
Ah that sounds lovely! Gonna have to visit home now!

There is a lot of street art here but I was thinking of those impromptu tribute sites that spring up by the road when someone’s kid/granny/guinea pig gets shot or run over!
oh how interesting. haha because here people just put crosses up. maybe a few flowers. hmm altho i do like the idea of making art out of death. fancy that~
