Federal officials have formally announced plans to eliminate vital protections for wolves in Wyoming, leaving these iconic animals at the mercy of a shoot-on-sight state policy that covers nearly 90% of the state.
The proposal could lead to indiscriminate wolf killing across the vast majority of Wyoming, even on national forests and other lands owned by the American taxpayer.
Under this plan, wolves are considered predators in a majority of Wyoming and may be killed by anytime by anyone. Instead, wolves should be treated as other wildlife, especially on our national forests, where wildlife conservation is one of the core purposes.
Stand with the Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund as they work to help save these wolves. Tell U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Director Dan Ashe that you OPPOSE the premature delisting of wolves in Wyoming.

Stop the killing of wolves in Wyoming!
I know I don’t have very many followers, but tumblr is known for getting things like this donedone! The wolves have been removed off the endangered species list in Wyoming, Idaho, and Montana. They claim their numbers have gotten high enough to cease government protection.
Now this doesn’t sound so awful, right? No.
The real reason they’re doing this is for the hunters. The hunters have enjoyed a life with little wolves and an overpopulation of elk. They are used to sitting around on their porch and shooting down a deer. Now that the wolves are here, there are less elk, but the elk are much stronger and bigger. For some reason, these hunters are not okay with that. 87% of Yellowstone National Park’s wolves have been killed since the wolves removal a few months ago.
In Wyoming, there is no buffer zone and the wolves are hunted as vermin. They do not have a cap of how many wolves you can kill in a season. It has been proven that these hunters sit along the boarder waiting for the wolves to come by and step over the boundary. They have recorded distress noises of pups and played them in order to lurer them out. They are targeting the wolves Yellowstone has collared for scientific research. Anyone can tap into the collars and locate the wolves.
Most recently 06(Pictured below)from the Lumar Canyon wolf pack has been killed.

She was the alpha female. This pack is practically doomed as the alpha male is related to all other females in the pack. Said females would not allow him to bring in another female, and unless he allows in another male, the pack will split or die off. You humans like to forget that since you obtained modern projectile weapons, attacks on your kind by mine have decimated. In the land of the rising sun you have killed off my kind and in the New World you came very close. Then when we are gone you complain about how the deer eat all of the new growth in the forest, and do not think that if we were there to eat them, they would not eat all of the new growth. So again you resort to your modern projectile weapons, only to achieve limited success. Your technology has advanced but your wisdom has not.
