Ryukyu
Last week I learned that the Okinawans would practice Karate through kata or a dance called Ryukyu.
These exercises were developed after the practice of Martial Arts was forbidden.
The Okinawans concealed the bunkai (self-defense applications) within these Kata’s and Dances.
They were secretly turning their bodies into weapons. #boss
