Rufioh is based on Rufio from Hook, obviously, but also on the Peter Pan story, as his post-scratch iteration indicates.

Peter Pan had a companion, Tinkerbell, a feisty female who spoke in a way only he could fully understand,

who had romantic feelings for him and became jealous and driven to violence,

when he began romantic interactions with someone else, with a blue color scheme.
