Robbie Williams and One Direction Are Brothers

English singer/songwriter, Robbie Williams recently told Mail on Sunday Event magazine he feels like the sixth member of One Direction. The boys are like his family, ”They are [my brothers]. I sang She’s The One with them on The X Factor, so I’ve seen various stages of their growth.”

Robbie was a member of European boy band Take That, who rose to fame in the mid-1990’s. Although disagreements within the group led to Robbie starting a solo career in 1995. Hhe did rejoin the group in 2010 to release an album entitled “Progress” that went on to become the second fastest-selling album in UK chart history. It was also the fastest-selling record of the century in Britain so far, according to the Official Charts Company.

Williams has seen success on his own having sold over 70 million records, 17 BRIT Awards, 7 ECHO Awards, being inducted into the UK Music Hall of Fame in 2004 and being entered into the Guinness Book of World Records for selling 1.6 million tickets to his Close Encounters tour in a single day back in 2006. Could Harry be following in Robbie’s footsteps headed for a breakout solo career? With a solo track leaked earlier this week it’s easy to speculate, but we have no confirmation that Harry is leaving One Direction anytime soon.
