Something that I sadly hear too much is that “it’s not illegal to copy someone’s style”. Sure, if you create an illustration that is completely derivative of someone else but not a direct rip-off or tracing, they might have a hard time suing you. That doesn’t make it OK to make derivative work.
There’s a difference between being “inspired” and straight up ripoffs. Jessica offers a new perspective on the subject addressed to those who are just getting into the design world as advice.

Ok so I’ve had my Mac for a while now…so its been available to the market to make games designed to run on the piece of shite, so why the hell are there no games that will run on the Intel chipset??? I spent £15 on Counterstrike only for it to bomb out because I find out after I have spent the money and installed it that it will not run on my Mac! What a complete rip off! Not to mention the fact that Macs are supposed to be the best thing since sliced bread! So to play a game that I have already bought, I’ll have to buy a new bloody computer to play it!

I should have never done the math for this because it only pisses me off even more to realize how badly I’m getting ripped off by the inmate calling company.
I’m not going to get into everything, but basically if I put
100 dollars on, there’s a 19 dollar transaction fee,
plus every time I accept a call there’s a connecting fee of $4.85
I received 11 calls for the last 100 dollars I spent, and that gets me down to
only $27.65 from that original $100!
then it’s 8¢/minute, so 11 phone calls only got us 5 hours & 45 minutes of talk time
If there were NO transaction fees or connecting fees,
we would have 20 hours & 50 minutes of talk time
that’s 15 hours & 4 minutes WASTED on other stupid expenses.
Ugh it just makes me so mad.
Especially when I’m used to talking to him on the phone for at LEAST 10 hours a day. ):
