I’m listening to Capital Steez and it fucking blows to know that I won’t be able to watch this kid come up with Joey and become hip hop royalty like he deserves. I’m a year older than Steez was and he has more talent in his little finger than i’ll ever have.

With the tragedy that happened this morning with one of the faces of Pro Era, I thought it would be appropriate to post this. Its Christmas time, holiday season, everyone is supposed to be happy and joyous spending time with the ones they love, appreciate and cherish. For some, that turns into tragedy and puts a whole spin to what’s really important.
Jamal, (Capital STEEZ) was only 19 years old. He was only BEGINNING to flourish and then he got taken from us just after we fell in love with him and just before he became one of the sickest MC’s for this generation. While all of Pro Era and the beast coast and all the people who loved and adored STEEZ are mourning and grieving trying to answer that one haunting question “Why?” I put a theory to it all.

I’ve never been a religious person because religion is a joke to me but with all the amazing things that have been happening to me lately, I have to give all praise to whomever is up there looking down on this world and making these great things happen.
With the things that I have gone through and experiences I’ve had, I always wondered why things happen. What’s the motive? Is it punishment, retaliation? It wasn’t until recently, I figured out that we’re all being watched to see what we do with this life that we were given. We’re often put through tests to see how strong we are and to build character. What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger right? I learned you have to be strong for other people but you have to be just as strong for yourself first because at the end of the day, you’re the one taking care of you. You are the one who has to face yourself in the mirror. Whether that mirror has demons or not, they belong to you. I’ve seen some cruel jokes about Illuminati sacrifices that are just 100% bullshit and insensitive and downright ignorant when people say those things just to base someones success off of it. NEVER the case ever. However, I do believe, everything happens for a reason. Here’s why I think people are taken away from us so soon:
When you have a team of people holding you down and you’re one of the stars, it becomes time for your team to strengthen and see if they have enough power and determination to push through with or without you. After the grieving period, they are essentially mourning forever because you were an essential part of the team and their lives, they can’t forget you. Is it possible that this can turn into something positive? Absolutely, now you have a motive and a reason to do even better because they would want you to do better! They’re there in spirit, watching you, proud of you and riding with you. You never realize but just when you feel discouraged by the absence of their presence, Something tells you that they don’t want to see you struggle, they don’t want to see you slowing up. They want you to prosper and to win! Progress. That “something” is their spirit. You did your part in letting them know just how special they were to you, that’s all that matters. Let them know just how much you appreciate them through your vice. Keep STEEZ living through the music. He wants to see all his Pro’s win, and now he’s sitting center court watching over all of you shoot the alley oops and dunk on this whole rap game.
