Famed songwriter Robert Sherman passed away
Robert and his brother, Richard, were the minds behind some of the most well known songs from Disney, including the score to ‘Mary Poppins’, which won two Academy Awards and a Grammy. With 23 gold and platinum albums, both brothers hold a place in the Songwriters’ Hall of Frame and were awarded the National Medal of Arts by the President. Robert passed away in London at 86 and is survived by his wife, Joyce, and four children: Laurie, Jeffrey, Andrea and Robert.
