Aaaa of course Anon! I love giving out art blog recommendations and you’re right - it’s been a while since the last time, so this one is a bit long haha. I wasn’t able to write a little blurb for everyone, but I assure you everyone is definitely worth following!
Thanks for requesting, this was fun to put together! I’ll add more artists as I think of them, too, so keep checking back! (●⌒∇⌒●) Eventually I’d like to feature all ~300 odd artists I am following, but that’ll take a bit of time haha.

Kitsu’s art is so good, the way she handles environments and subjects (like, have u seen her howl’s moving castle piece, I’m) I’m?? super jealous of. ALSO SHE SELLS CUTE CHARMS TOO and she has a super appealing style that’s really fit for it haha.

Choo is such a super sweet lady, and her beautiful work is really inspirational! I love that so much of her work is really surreal, dreamy & thought provoking.

I really love Katie’s textured style, and the way she uses colour is really unique!

Khel is one of my longtime inspirations, I found her art when I was 13 and on Neopets and I loved it. Now I am 22 and on Neopets and I still love it hahahaha.

I’m a big fan of Kogamo’s work, their style is so elegant and has a beautiful simplicity to it.

PIE’S FRICKIN ART, EVERYTIME SHE OPENS FOR COMMISSIONS ALL THE SLOTS ARE GONE IN TEN MINUTES? NO, I’M NOT BITTER [SOUND OF MY HEART BREAKING IN THE DISTANCE]. Her art is so lovely and she draws a variety of things, but you might be interested in her Adventure Time art, which is always super well received because she draws the cutest little scenarios, along with dressing up the characters in super cute outfits.

i was so excited for GoT!Cat because you get a lot of like… scheming catty aristocratic women on tv (see; Rome, Spartacus) but subdued, quietly ambitious aristocratic women as the focal point? not so much
Well, not that I dislike scheming catty rich bitches categorically at all but, yeah that type is “sexier”. I mean, Cat was the closest thing to a female everyman in ASOIAF, her aristocratic status notwithstanding. The “problem” with Cat is that she isn’t very extreme. She’s kind of ambitious, but only to a point. She’s kind of caring, but only to a point. She’s kind of “fierce”, but only to a point. She’s kind of cunning, but only to a point. People always struggle with Cat because of this. I know I am doing that thing where I give definitive statements about what’s going on in other people’s heads, but I have been more obsessed with Cat and how people view Cat than is healthy, for ten years. And I swear, I swear that’s essentially the problem. She’s just too normal and people come to ASOIAF (and similar fictions/genres? I don’t know) wanting … Types. Extremes. Ideas and ideologies in walking talking corporeal form. They don’t want idiosyncracies, randomness, middlingness, they want extreme design. Paragons of honor, pinnacles of antiheroism, prettiest of tragedies, etc.
The irony of Catelyn Stark’s character is that the very things that get her on people’s shit list, or that get her dismissed as boring, are what make her important, and interesting. It’s a litmus test for taste, I guess. She is the most aggressively realistic main character, and that doesn’t work for everyone.
But when it gets tense is when that makes people say that there is nothing more of her to get. That’s when you end up with “Benioff and Weiss couldn’t possibly have done more with her than they did” and “It was a wise choice to minimize her character for the televisual medium”. And so on and on and on and on.
