Hello!
Tumblr is where tens of millions of creative people around the world share and follow the things they love.

— Steve (religiousragings)Religious Ragings is now Skeptical Avenger
For the first time since I was PizzaFrog and I had maybe 50 followers, I’ve changed the name of this blog. It is now known as Skeptical Avenger.
I’ve never been really happy with the Religious Ragings title, and I’ve toyed around with different names for a while. I battled between the names Skeptical Warrior and Skeptical Avenger for most of this week, and I finally decided that Avenger is less violent. :)
There are still some technical details to take care of, and I apologize if this causes anyone any confusion or inconvenience, but I hope that you like the new name as much as I do. :)

“It is truly amazing that god’s mysterious ways seem indistinguishable from random chance.”
—Steve, of religiousragings
Note: Steve does not claim originality of this as it is a paraphrase of things from other sources. I just really liked it and wanted it on my blog, okay.
Dear atheist friends on tumblr,
I used your names (or whatever names I remembered) in part of my spanish project about my imaginary Secular Student Alliance and our imaginary trip to DC. So, Steve, Kim, JJ, Frank, Melissa, etc, you all had a wonderful time in Washington, DC and we had a lot of fun (except Frank broke his ankle).
IF I were to change my Tumblr name...
…does anyone have any suggestions of what I should change it to?
I made this name up on the spur of the moment when I was legitimately raging, but I haven’t raged in quite a while. And my overall, cool personality has taken more of a precedence.
Not saying I’m going to change, but I’m thinking about it.
~ Steve
Greetings
Hey ya’ll, since heaps of you just followed me thanks to the signal boost from ReligiousRagings, I thought I’d take the time to introduce myself.
My name is Maria. Find something about me here for a rambling jumble of my many roles.
I don’t pretend to know everything, and although I’m fantastic with prose and sometimes poetry, I’m terrible at PR. Sometimes I’m terribly clumsy and socially awkward. I find drinking lubricates this awkwardness.
I have been a long time feminist, because of my fundie upbringing, which eventually led me to skepticism and ultimately atheism; however, I’ve recently found myself tired of privileged, white, middle-class, yuppie, (*childfree*?) radical feminists, and have taken to the term, “egalitarian.” Because the gender binary fucks all of us.
I’m an intactivist, which means I believe cutting genitals of children, without immediate medical indication is not only unethical or the *choice* of a parent, cultural, or religious mandate, but a violation of the Human Right to bodily security. This right belongs to female, male, and intersex children, regardless of race, creed, culture, or longstanding human history.
Occasionally I may stumble into mumblr, but that’s usually when it involves reproductive justice, public health, corporal punishment & child maltreatment, birth choice, and other criticisms of hierarchal parenting, and profit-driven healthcare.
I’m glad you are here.
Cheers.
