Adventure Time with Fionna and Cake totally had some Sailor Moon refrences

Her hat was in the shape of bunny ears. Usagi means “Bunny On the Moon”

Also, did anyone notice how similar her dress was to Princess Serenity’s?

At some point, Ice King said he wanted to “Take Fionna to the furthest corners of the moon” and Usagi is from the moon kingdom, and is again, the bunny of the moon

Both of their sidekicks are talking cats

Do y’all catch my drift? And don’t forget that Adventure Time plays on Cartoon Network and Sailor Moon played on there too. With this whole worldwide series reboot, I think it’s sorta suspicious that the channel that Sailor Moon used to play on is making so many references to it, especially on a highly awaited episode that everyone was dying to see of one of their most popular shows. I hope they’re gonna start showing Sailor Moon again

omg so when we were in theatre this one kid goes and lays down on the senior in the class (who’s like the best actor in our school) that was laying on the ground  and whispers really loud ‘are you feeling it now mr. krabs’ and I’m pretty sure nearly everyone peed themselves laughing

The 4 Doors of Creativity - Jana Armistead Stiffel

You will pass through 4 doors in the Creative Process. Once you have carefully achieved the tasks defined by each door, you may PASS into the next. Once you have passed into the next door…YOU MAY NOT RETURN!

Door #1 The Door of Ideas

•QUESTION - What do you see from your own perspective? Define and describe what you see.

•YOU are the ENTRY POINT - The ARTIST that must pause, absorb, think, and react to what YOU see and feel based upon your life experiences, knowledge, and instincts.

•YOU must respond with multiple thoughts and reactions that are different and powerful to create YOUR own visual images that are unique only to YOU.

•Relax into YOUR own feelings and engage yourself in deep thoughts that bridge you and what you see into a relationship that is personal, perhaps subconscious, or a story or narration.

•Let your subconscious loose…scribble…analogue drawings that reveal thoughts and images…Write your thoughts, they come quickly and disappear quickly like a dream. These scribbles/words will become the compass of discovery that is new and exciting.

•DRAW, DRAW, DRAW until you are filled with confidence and excitement to pass through Door 2

Door #2 The Visual Puzzle

•TASK - To put the pieces together and explore multiple visual solutions.

•COMPOSITION - the search for unique solutions to the division and weight of space with the Elements and Principles of Design

•THINK about what you want to say, what is important, what is secondary, what kind of feeling you want to communicate

•EXPAND by finding resources you need to assist you in achieving your resolution…look/read books and magazines, study on the Internet, take digital images, learn from the masters, contemporary artists, your peers, and people… then sketch and write in your sketchbook!

•CREATE a feeling with lighting, different perspectives, different material, different sizes, different everything!

•REMEMBER- “No one is as creative as all of us.” -Steve Jobs

•SKETCH, SKETCH,SKETCH finding comfort in familiarity, making thousands of choices, and having fun because you are mentally and emotionally on fire!

Door #3 The Door of Values

•BLOCKING how the shapes, values, and space, like people on a stage, move and control the action.

•POWER TO MAKE MOVEMENT make a visual map that the eyes of the viewer move over every mark and are absorbed in the changing of values, while reading the elements and being contained by the space to only revel and want to start all over again.

•CENTER OF INTEREST or the “Star” area that is supported by all the other players (negative spaces, lines, shapes, forms, values, colors, textures)

•SKELETON - the supporting substances, the “cake” , the development of skills that lays in the foundation for the details

•DISCOVERY - the poser to engage the viewer to discover things you want them to see and things only they discover as they mess their entry point with yours.

•SUCCESS - the beginning feeling of accomplishing your visual purpose.

•QUESTIONING - what more do I need to do? …what more does it need? …I don’t know…

•FEAR - will I mess it up? I will mess it up or I don’t know so… I Quit! and Is it “good enough”? - AH! HELP!!

Door #4 The Door of Details

•CLEANING AND SHARPENING - the fine motor skills of details… “the icing on the cake”

•TIME - taking the time to add precious details of textures, patterns, highlights, values, and deepest darks.

•CORRECTING - reevaluating what has been done, what needs to be removed, what needs to be added, what challenges your abilities, what makes both you and your work better.

•THE  AH HA! - the relief of creation and the celebration of your work and yourself… the elation of resolution

“All this, my life in Art has taught me. It is my gift to you, my young artists.”
