PSA: Birth Control Recall [Canada]

A Canadian drug distributor has issued an urgent recall for Alysena-28 birth control pills.

Apotex says one batch of the Alysena-28 may contain two weeks of placebo sugar pills instead of one, adding the error can reduce the effectiveness of the pills and raises the possibility of unplanned pregnancy.

The company informed wholesalers and retailers Friday, but did not inform women who are taking the pill.

The code on the recalled packages is LF01899A. The bad packages were distributed in all provinces except Saskatchewan and Alberta.

There’s women out there taking placebos instead of BC.

Looks like Wisconsin voted to keep the guy who threw out equal pay for women, required schools to only teach abstinence-based sex ed, is working on making it illegal for same-sex couples to have hospital visitation rights (and any other rights), and removed collective bargaining rights for most public employees and teachers. Good luck with that.

the wife's pregnant colleague just went into labor and she wouldn't let them take her to the hospital without first going by her polling place!
