READ ME PLEASE
Hey, everyone. So I know I usually post a bunch of silly fandom stuff, but today I really need your help.
In my Medical class, I’ve started a project on promoting awareness of global health issues. Now, originally I wanted to get this over with and just get a grade. But recently, I found about a pretty nasty issue that’s been going on for fifty years.
Most of you have probably heard of the Vietnam War, right? And some of you might’ve heard of Agent Orange, a chemical used during the war. How incredibly toxic it was, how it killed people.
The sad thing is that people are still dying from Agent Orange. And not just dying- they’re suffering from extremely debilitating disease, deformities, and more. Just look at the pictures, some of which were taken in the past few years.
Tens of thousands of children are still suffering because of this chemical, which can be cleaned up. And while the United States has begun to clean up Agent Orange, some spots have been left with the shorter end of the stick. Old army bases and rural areas still suffer from this chemical’s potent affects. They haven’t, and likely won’t be cleaned up for a very, very long time.
Please help me out by signing this petition. We want this chemical cleaned up. We want families to return home, and future generations of children to be free of disease. We want the suffering to stop.
