Voltage Inc and Piracy
First off, I can’t even express how upset I am at this. Just this afternoon, I received the news that pretty much all the voltage games have been hacked, EVEN AKD, meaning people have the NERVE to play them for free. This is illegal and honestly, if Voltage ever stops making games because of this, it’s all thanks to certain people who ruin it for everyone.
When I scroll down the comments on the game in Google Play, all they ever do is complain how it’s not free. Well, here’s the reality people, everything in life has a price, whether it’s money or not. There’s rarely anything “free” nowadays. Heck, even air isn’t free because I have to pay $1 down at the gas station to pump some air into car tires for 5 minutes.
If you think about it, a Voltage route is worth less than a small Frappucino at Starbucks here. Compare something to just cool yourself down or just satisfy a craving that lasts for 5-10 minutes that PROBABLY won’t even be enough to fill your stomach to something that will lasts for hours and last in your memory even longer after that. Plus, you can replay as many times as you like, with Frappucinos, you don’t get free refills. Maybe unless you’re the manager or something or abuse your power, but that’s besides the point.
People spend money on all the lovely clothes, makeup and accessories anyhow and those cost way much more than a couple of bucks for a game. C’mon, you’re willing to pour a load of cash on those things and not spare a couple of bucks for a cell phone game?
Have you guys even SEEN how much otome games on PSP or PC and the like portable in Japan costs? Take Uta no Prince-sama Repeat on YESASIA, it’s $52.83 CDN dollars and that’s NOT including the shipping. Compare that to paying $3.99 CDN dollars for a Voltage main route.
Oh, and the excuses some people come up with. “I don’t know how to pay the game!” or “I’m poor!”
My house isn’t made of gold either and I’m as technology literate as a brick. But, mess around with your damn phone and you’ll find how to pay. iOS, go buy some iStore/iTunes card. Android, go get some of those VISA or MASTERCARD gift cards or use your own credit card/debit cards and get a Google Wallet account. You know the saying, WHEN THERE’S A WILL THERE’S A WAY?
I can’t count how many times I shoved all my coins and bills into my piggy bank to save up to buy an otome game or a portable to go along with it. If you do save up and spend wisely, you CAN buy those games. In fact, no excuse in the world can be forgiven for pirating them. Look here, I bought a $100 Vanilla Mastercard since January and I’m STILL using it for GREE and Non-GREE games. SEE, IT CAN WORK. Like Noel, “I rather be a poor otome gamer with a clean conscience.”
Also, these people who bring you these games have ACTUAL jobs. WOW, what a shocker, huh? They get paid to translate, bust their behinds to set up the system and bring them to you. They’re a company that profits off these games in order to live and you expect them to be bringing the games free to you on a silver platter or something? How do you expect them to pay their employees, develop new games and so on? How would YOU feel if you were these people putting effort into making a game and not getting paid a dime if you were a game developing company?
Also, Voltage does listen to their customers, they do try to accommodate to most of our demands. They’ve improved their translations, sprites and so on.
Guys, you have the privilege to buy these games and play them for all their worth right now, don’t abuse it.
If you want more otome games, that are not just Voltage, then you better start showing some support and that goes to all other types games and the like.

Giants
Why aren’t there any kind giants? I mean… maybe I haven’t looked that hard, but aside from Super Dreadnought Girl, I have not found a single comic that was centered around (or at least contained) sensible, sentient, semi-kind giants. Okay, even if they weren’t kind, can we at least have some giants that aren’t basically giant wild animals? Ones that have sense like a human. I don’t even care if they are still mean, per say, but can they have a reason to destroy/eat humans? Aside from needing food. Unless they lived in a world where there is literally no other food option… there needs to be some rationale behind it.
It seems GT fans are constantly backed into a corner. I thought Attack of the Titans/Attack on the Titans whatever the name is, would be a break-through. I thought ‘hey… maybe we’ll finally have some sensible giants that aren’t hideous!’ … I was wrong. So very, very wrong. Jack the Giant Slayer was the same thing. I hoped, that even though I hated the idea of ANOTHER Jack and the Beanstalk rendition, I thought we’d finally have normal-looking sentient giants… Well, they’re sentient (though they don’t seem too terribly bright. It’s good enough for me though! They can reason better than animals.) but they basically just look like a bunch of trolls. Why can’t they look like humans?
I mean, is it really that hard to sell/create giants that have half a brain? Some that choose to be different, to be kind to things/humans smaller than themselves? And before anyone mentions things like Arietty, or Thumbelina, or other such things… That is Human -> Tiny interaction. NOT Giant -> Human interaction. There IS a significant distinction. The only movies I can think of where this happens is Gulliver’s Travels (the full travels) and Ella Enchanted. I love that line from the giantess, Brumhilda, in E.E. “Oh, I know. Giants are supposed to be big, ugly and mean. It’s because of stories like “Jack and the Beanstalk.” Stinking Grimm Brothers” I always loved that line. It pretty much sums up my feelings toward this whole thing xD
I’m looking toward the future. Will this be the trend for the rest of my life? Maybe some time in the future, sensible giants will become a new trend. But for now, I will continue to try and create the content that we Fluffy G/T or… even Intelligent G/T fans want.

It’s why I called it “my” Ohchan x Okadacchi week, and someone said it’s a festival. Most of the time it’s just my translations/posts that got reblogged about this pair and I find it impossible that EVERYONE reblogged it so much that it’s the only thing people saw.
Okada went on national TV talking about an untold story of Ohno’s junior days on several tv shows in a single week. Of course the Ohno fans are going to latch on it. And obviously no one was translating it (yet). Considering it’s my personal interest, why on earth am I not going to translate something I found thoroughly amusing and worth sharing? And on my blog nonetheless.
The same goes for the Juntoshi stuff, and any pair from Arashi for that matter. If they don’t want to see it, then forgodsakes, block it.
I’m one fan, with possibly 5 or so others who actually found the OhKadacchi ship adorable and worth talking about. How is that somebody else’s problem? They can block the damn posts or my blog.
I can’t help but see this anon confession as a direct implication of my blog and my posts which is frankly irritating the fuck out of me now. Because wow, apparently I’m not allowed to enjoy something, and talking about Ohno’s relationships with people who aren’t Arashi especially about his PAST is considered a bad thing.

It’s that last bit about Ohno’s past being a taboo/bad thing for some Arashi fans that’s really annoying. And that’s exactly one reason why I started blogging about Ohno’s past in the first place, because you know what, there are people who are actually interested.
Telling thin people to “go eat a burger” is just as hurtful and offensive as telling a fat person to “get their arse on a treadmill” just fyi.
Telling anybody that they have to change their bodies in any way just because you don’t like what you see or they don’t fit into societies set standards of perfection is quite frankly a dick move so please just stop.
It always makes me laugh when people use book!Robb’s “forgiveness” of his mother against show!Robb.
The boy is a manipulative little shit (she says with affection). Look back, he uses the whole family forgives family, love isn’t rational, and a mother’s love is unending so that she can’t speak against his marriage to Jeyne.
He doesn’t do it selflessly, he doesn’t do it for any other reason than to trap his mother into a position where she can’t oppose him.
Everyone’s saint like portrayal of book!Robb is kind of troubling, they both have their faults.
My Criminal Minds loves, we need each other more than ever right now! As you all know, pretty much the whole cast minus MGG and Jeanne Tripplehorn were up for negotiation, as well as pretty much the rest of the show. So far, Erica Messer (freaking LOVE her), Thomas Gibson, and Joe Mantegna are all either secure or pretty much secure for season 9. Shemar is deep in negotiations, he’s just working out some things with money. However, AJ and Kirsten haven’t confirmed a single thing yet because they want close to the same amount of pay as the male costars. Ok, let’s stop here.
This is 2013, why aren’t women, especially women who have main roles, being paid the same amount as men. CBS needs to get its head out of the 19th century. Second, THERE IS A RISK WE COULD
