While I could be indifferent to him and his choices in the books, since he was a kid, and clearly not fit to rule his own cock, let alone the North, the series just made me hate him, since when they made him a major POV character, his flaws are brought to light, and we can see how he only wanted revenge for his father, and later, was carried away by screams of “King in the North”, and the way they changed his scenes just made him a arrogant boy with a much to big pet, that should not be allowed to be around people, and a tendency of thinking with his cock first and last.

I worry less about Stannis, because he becomes more likable as the series goes on. I didn’t like him until the end of ASoS, so I don’t expect show fans to like him til the end of season 3/season 4. Roose does NOT get more likable as the series goes on, in terms of appealing to a wider audience.

i actually feel that it’s very well written? it has its flaws like any show, underwritten characters ( my bb abby whelan<3), and some problematics, but i think overall it works very well as what it is.
the social commentary is part of that, i think. it’s a more socially conscious show than yr next drama, esp. one that’s on abc lmao. and the feeeeeels. let’s not even get started on the feels.

it really depends on how they identify, but a) Quasimodo’s parents were brown and similar in appearance to Esmeralda in the film, and b) strictly speaking, all Romani people originate from the Indian subcontinent and while they have mixed, they still have those roots
