Arziyaan - Delhi 6
All the requests I have brought, having written them on my face itself
What should I beg of You? You perceive it all yourself.
O Lord, my Lord.
Creases and creases are there on my forehead
Please repair my luck, O Lord
Time and again I bowed at Your doorstep (in front of You),
I got destroyed here, I got formed here
Whoever came to Your doorstep
Whichever head came here with intention to bow
Having drunk the enjoyments that he found here, everybody saw him staggering
Whoever had come with thirst in him, he filled a sea for him here
in the rain of light, he got drenched, and got rescued (meaning attaining moksha)
A fragrance used to reach me
I used to keep on getting lost
It was a silken illusion, And I used to gape, aghast,
When I came to Your street
Only then, the truth became apparent to me
That frangrance was in me myself only, You introduced it to me, O Lord
I surely know how to crack and shatter…
But I don’t know the style of praying
Please allow me to remain bowing to You, now, I wouldn’t go anywhere else
If you abandon me now, I won’t be able to recover..
I had raised my head and had wished so many wishes
How many dreams I had dreamt, how many tries I had made
When you came face to face, I wasn’t able to look you in the eye
With my head bowed, in a blink of an eye, What all did I not receive
My beloved returned home.
