Europe is gaining in social media usage
bit.lyEurope showed the highest year-over-year growth in social networking reach among the major global regions during 2010, according to a new white paper from comScore. “The comScore 2010 Digital Europe Year in Review” indicates that while Europe trails North America and Latin America with 84.4% social networking reach, its 10.9-percentage-point gain between December 2009 and December 2010 dwarfs growth in any other region of the world.

Even getting your manuscript to a publisher can be a difficult task. It is extremely difficult for genres, the publisher too.

So late, so many thoughts
I thought I had my future planned out. I was going to be an English teacher (eventually a professor). To accomplish this, I would acquire a masters in English/Literature and get my teaching license. I’m not so sure that this is what I want anymore. I have a saved search on my tumblr titled “emerson,” this was to follow Ralph Waldo Emerson quotes. Tonight my search lead me to Emerson College. Emerson has a program that combines Literature, Writing, and Publishing. Along with studying Literature I could become a publisher which meant I would be reading and critiquing other works. When I really think about it I proof read my friends papers for college, and I didn’t hate it. Actually it is quite fun. Reading others thoughts and how they view the world interest me. As a publisher I would have knowledge of many different types of literature, writing styles, and subjects. Since learning is my favorite subject this is the perfect job for me. The only problem with this is the only colleges who offer this major are Art schools, which means a whole lot of money…which I don’t have. I would love to be a teacher, but this sounds more fun and the starting salary is more than enough. Still a work in progress and still need a lot of prayer on the situation!
