Let's Roll!

On the eve of the start of our group’s second fundraiser for The Isaac Foundation, I received an email from TIF asking for help.

I am sitting here choking back tears as I read, “Just recently, [Isaac] has been unable to see the stars at night because of severe corneal clouding. This new treatment has the potential to eliminate that clouding completely, and Isaac may once again see the stars in the sky.”

Tomorrow morning, we’ll be putting it out there… everything we’ve got… ALL the merchandise donations we’ve received from JM fans are coming your way.  Lots of good stuff!

All we ask in return is that you donate ANYTHING YOU CAN to The Isaac Foundation.  If you can’t afford a $5 raffle donation, please at least share, share and re-share, on Tumblr, Twitter, and Facebook.  I was thrilled today when I saw a family member share my post about Isaac, and had a local friend message me and ask how he could donate. (And then he actually kicked off our second fundraiser with a $20 donation!)

When you share, public awareness goes up.  One million conversations.

This will be appearing in a Canadian publication tomorrow:

Please share our fundraiser announcement tomorrow, and please GIVE WHATEVER YOU CAN.  Even $5 will go a long way when multiplied many times.  If you can’t afford it, we’ll take $1 even!

“So I’ll check the weather wherever you are ‘cause I wanna know if you can see the stars tonight.  Might be my only right.”  ~JM

Please Note:  We are only fans of John Mayer and The Isaac Foundation, and we’re not formally affiliated with either.  We are not JM’s official street team, and he neither participates in our activities in any way nor donates merchandise to us.  We are 100% volunteers, through and through.

Year-end report

As 2012 draws to a close, we are happy to report that we have brought in a bit more money for #ProjectOneMillion since our last “concerted” effort.

The total we have raised since POM was launched has just reached $1,800, as of yesterday.

Once again, thank you to all who helped us raise this money for The Isaac Foundation.  Whether you contributed a lot or a little, it all counted and it all helped us achieve this final tally.

Please be reminded that we NEED you to save all your holiday cards, and donate them to us after the season’s over, instead of just throwing them away.  We will recycle them and put them to good use in 2013!!

Have a beautiful holiday season and a safe New Year, everyone!

Another ask for help, for Isaac.

There’s going to be an attempt to get some coverage via twitter today for Isaac. This is the little boy that I ran for last weekend. In case you’re new here, he was born with a rare disease (MPS VI) and we’re working towards raising awareness and funds for new research.

He’s a great kid, and they’re a wonderful family. Please take some time at 10am today to tweet #ProjectOneMillion. Watch the video and please share as much as you can.

Thank you for your time, and your help.
