The Ananti Club by Ken Min Architects

The way we live now: imaging how our country club would rebrand itself what it would be like to belong to a country club. Alternatively, asking “what’s a country club?”

Luxury 2.0. Ever wonder what things would look like, had we continued our pre-Recession climb? Well, some places in the world weren’t so rudely awakened with red-lettered mortgage bills and pink slips. Some places, largely, kept right on trucking.

Right, so Korea wasn’t immune to the Recession, not at all, actually, but some part of their economy was – the part that allowed the Ritz Carlton Country Club outside of Seoul to undertake a complete re-branding & reconstruction. Besides renaming itself the Ananti Club, the organization built an entirely new facility – designed by Ken Min Architects, led by principle Ken Sungjin Min, a GSD-educated architect with offices in Seoul and L.A.
