Alam mo ba na masama sa ating katawan ang pag-aaral?

Una sa lahat, napapansin mo bang halos lahat ng mga matatalino ay naka-salamin? Ito’y dahil sa masyado silang tutok sa pag-aaral. Kahit dis-oras na ng gabi eh hindi mo sila mahihiwalay sa kanilang mga libro at handouts. Ang resulta nito? Pagkalabo ng mga mata.

Isa pang masamang dulot nito sa ating katawan ay ang pagbaba ng ating resistensya laban sa mga sakit pagka’t pag tayo’y kulang sa tulog. Isa pang maaring resulta ay ang mabilis na pagtanda ng ating itsura.

Ang solusyon? Wag na tayong mag-aral. Alagaan ang ating sarili. No to exams!

this mouthwash makes me feel like shit

I’m ready to go to therapy, now. When I go back to St. Catharines I’m going to talk to Brynn’s mum and Brynn about booking an appointment with their therapist because I’m ready to get better and talk about things instead of just keeping them in and letting them fester, quietly, as a mental illness.

Seeking help from a therapist does not make me week—it makes me strong in acknowledging that I do, in fact, need help and it makes me strong in that I am able to seek that help out and accept it.

Fasting is probably one of the worst things you can do for yourself. And when I’m randomly scoping out Tumblr on “health” posts, I always find some girl and her “motivation” blog about being “pro ana” and whatnot. 

Girl, unless you plan on being anorexic until the day you die (which may come sooner than most), you’re going to regret killing your metabolism. 

I get so angry, I just want to reach through the screen and slap some sense into them. And a lot of the time it’s girls who are already skinny as it is, and they have such a warped self image that they can’t even see it. But I don’t care what you look like, no one should decide to stop eating just to lose weight. 

You’re not being healthy. AT ALL. With nothing to digest, your metabolism goes to shit, so when you ever DO decide to eat again you’ll gain weight faster and easier than before. Isn’t that what you want to avoid? 

My mother went through this phase when she was younger. She wouldn’t eat just so she could be “thin.” Now, she never stops telling me how much she regrets it and instilled in me since I was old enough to never try it myself. 

So please, people, seriously THINK about your decision to fast (unless it’s religious). Does the short term really outweigh the long?

12. What do you normally eat?

It honestly varies from day to day. Mostly egg whites with turkey bacon or ham. Lunch is usually a salad. some fruits. and whatever I decide I want for dinner as long as its in my calorie limit.


13. Are you losing weight in a healthy or unhealthy way?

Healthy. I am taking in a good amount of calories a day and exercising. Drinking a lot of water and eating healthy foods.
