Looking for apartments can be expensive.

Sweden has so many sites that advertize it has exclusive apartments to rent. Granted, you hate to pay a fee, of course. Some sites charge around 298:-, like Fixakontraktet, to give you apartment tips for 30 days. Others charge a more hefty fee, like Bostaddirekt, that charges 695:- for 30 days plus 50:- to get new apartments tips directly on your phone through sms´. Unfortunatelly I didnt have a good experience with either services. Bostaddirekt set me back a nice 750:- (of course I thought the sms thing was a nice idea) but even as I called the numbers as soon as I got each sms, the apartments were already rented out. Every singe one. The 30 days passed and we ended up 1000:- + lighter in our wallets. We applied for Bostaddirekt, Hyralya and a personal add on Blocket. All summarized in at around 1050:- + weekends and lunchbreaks thrown out the window. :-/ I hope you guys have better luck than we had with these websites. I guess we just have to keep on trying.

Textbooks......

Damn these things are pricey. Gonna see which I can get on my Kindle or from Amazon for cheap. Note to self, tighten front truck on my pintail to avoid eating pavement in the future.

Remember the days when going to school was free? When textbooks were checked out? And scantrons were provided? Yeah I barley remember those times either.
