Hey remember when Him turned everyone against the Powerpuff Girls and they were sitting there taking it while their dad and their friends mauled them and they were like “oh no we can’t fight back against our loved ones” but then they were like “whoa wait they’re not being our loved ones right now if they’re hurting us” and they beat the shit out of everybody?
When I was younger I thought it was just a funny cynical ending but in retrospect that’s like the most awesome lesson a cartoon has ever taught. They refused to take abuse, even from people they cared about who weren’t being themselves and didn’t know any better at the time.
