Honestly ever since I saw Tearist performance at Thrasher vs Impose’s SXSW day party (they actually remembered how terrible that show went), I get nervous about electronic duos where the girl runs around and the guy works the electronics. Luckily, White Ring isn’t even close to that kind of exhausted cracked out styling. Spooky, scary, bass-heavy, occult influenced; the Brooklyn Duo will be playing a live set at Chop Suey on the 8th - hosted by none other than No Sleep Seattle.

I haven’t seen a #witchhouse line-up quite like this in a while - in a way it’s totally fucking brave, which is exactly what I want to see/expect to see from No Sleep. In addition to White Ring this show includes BRUXA (Portland-based post-witch house … who knows what happens in the woods down there to trios of susceptible minds).

The show will also feature sets by No Sleep’s own/KEXP’s Audioasis host Sh6rl6s6 (she has an electronic sweet tooth), and RXCH WXTCH, another Seattle DJ (who has a great tumblr full of hood girl nails my fav), as well as Youryoungbody (upcoming “loud” electronic duo ya heard).

I’ll be there, fresh off the plane from the spooky southern swamps and probably sporting my normal #allblack #floorlength #cliche #goth wear.
