I think the refinery comment was aimed at the false look. The shine, shimmer and OTT eyes/ weird eyebrows have a look of someone who has suffered hideous burns…gasoline is extremely flammable obviously…so refinery - burns all make sense in that context. It’s how I interpreted their comment anyway.

So basically it was their attempt at criticising someone’s look and branding them ‘hideous’ just because their look and style is different to theirs? Well that’s just lovely. And the fact that camera’s flash didn’t enter their heads? Flashes on cameras have the ability to make people look shiny. I happen to know Popi in person and she doesn’t have a shiny face. She has an amazing complexion. And I would not have said their eyes were over the top. I think they’re beautiful. People should not go reblogging people’s photos and leaving insulting comments on their appearances just because it’s not something they’re into. Criticising someone’s style is one thing, criticising their physical appearance is even worse.
