Listening to old school Janet Jackson.
The “Janet.” and “Velvet Rope” era. I’m gonna go on a limb here say that she’s sort of like the 90s Rihanna. Her attitude, raunchiness, commitment to her style and craft, and definitely her success and impact on Pop/R&B music. And of course they’re not exactly the same but there are strong similarities. I think history has a way of repeating itself, and music is no exception. After Dianna Ross & The Supremes, we got Destiny’s Child and then Beyonce. After Madonna we got Gaga, and I think after Janet we got Rihanna. Eh idk, just a thought! *Goes back to listening to Throb*
I like who new pop divas always get with an older pop dive, like Britney + Madonna or Gaga + Cher. the only 4 that actually mean something, even though one may lip-sync! who cares!
P.S. like how Britney is releasing Criminal video tonight and now Gaga wants to release/leak the single cover of Marry The Night!!! Go Gaga!!!
