an amber alert was just aired on TV in Connecticut. there’s been a child abduction in stonington CT. 2 young boys were abducted in a white minivan. They had strawberry blonde hair. they are 6 months old and 2 years old. License plate 445-ZAZ .If you see this minivan please call the police. Please reblog to spread the word.
"Curing" homosexuality? There's an app for that.
Unless we can convince Apple to get rid of it.
‘A controversy is erupting around a new application for the iPhone that claims gay people can be “cured,” and that gay kids should be put through therapy to “fix” their sexual orientation.
Believe it or not, Apple is providing Exodus International — an organization that promotes “conversion therapy” to try to brainwash gay people into turning straight — a platform on iTunes for their homophobic iPhone app. This, despite the fact that Exodus believes that LGBT people should be confronted with “spiritual warfare,” and that “freedom from homosexuality” should be a societal goal.
Worse, Apple has given the Exodus app a 4+ rating on iTunes, labeling the app “non-offensive,” even though the group tells gay kids that their sexual orientation is “immoral,” “satanic,” and in need of a cure — factors that contribute to teen suicide. ‘
You know what do do, Tumblr - we’ve done this before.

My aunt has informed me that a government project will take place in Santiago to translate and publish Japanese books throughout Latinamerica (she’s an editor so she knows of these things). This is pretty exciting since we don’t have much access Japanese books and things in Chile, and I’m sure other Latinamerican countries don’t either.
BUT TO THE POINT:
I’ve been sent a list of Japanese books and told to recommend a few. Problem is I know aboslutely nothing of Japanese literature whatsoever and I’ve never heard of these books before. Can someone please take a look at them and let me know if there’s anything in there you’d recommend? Whether it’s the book or the author, any recommendations would be very useful.

Help a fellow roleplayer out
So, I know the RP world is a friendly and fun place. But sometimes people can’t fully enjoy the RP world when they’re alone and unwanted. What hurts me the most is that my closest and best friend is feeling like this. He’s been wanting to deactivate and has been dealing with shit. Everyday I just want to make him happy but I’ve found out that I can’t do it alone. I don’t want to lose him and I want to make him happy like he does for others.
Please, if you could just stop in his askbox and talk to him.
It’s amazing how just a couple of words can make someone a thousand times better and feel good again. And if you don’t believe me, please go see for yourself and just say hi or something to him. What’s the harm in that? You can earn a friend and make somebody a little bit happier.
And don’t just stop in his askbox, stop in anybody’s that you think needs a friend, is alone, is hurting, or just anybody in general. It doesn’t need to be just people that are swallowed in sadness but everyone.
Everyone deserves to make a new friend. So let’s make the RP world a buzzing, wonderful getaway.
MY FRIEND AND I NEED HELP PLEASE
We need to come up with a visual for “darkness” like something to symbolize darkness and stuff. We’re reading Lord of the Flies in English and we gotta make some sort of visual to show others what darkness represents (fear of the unknown, ignorance, superstition, evil inside everyone) but we can’t think of anything good!
Simply “turning off the lights” does not count as a visual, unfortunately..
Anyone have any ideas, PLEASE?
