I found this letter to God that I wrote during the summer before I knew whether or not I was going to move. It’s interesting how God listens to your prayer even if it’s not answered exactly how you want it to be.
God,
Great is your name and mercy. I cannot fathom why you love me. But dear Lord come close to me right now, please hold my heart and comfort me. I cannot do this by any power within me. I am weak, but you are strong. Please change this dear God, I don’t want to move. But Lord you say in Psalms to delight in you and you will give me my desire (Pslam 37:4)…Lord please I ask and plead that you change this. But lord if its not your will for me to stay, then your will be done. I am trusting you, I cannot do this without trust. Please Lord hear my prayer, my plea, my cry. “You have heard this Lord, do not be far from me.” (Psalm 35:22) Heal my heart. Heal Aurora, Abby, Riley, and Heather’s heart. It breaks me to see them like this. Fill my heart with your spirit. Give me the peace that passes all understanding. “The joy of the Lord is my strength.”(Pslam 28:7) I love you and need you now.

Although God’s will wasn’t for me to stay he answered my prayer and gave me strength, peace, he held my heart, he filled me with his spirit, he comforted me, and above all else his will was done.
