Oh boy, here’s a character I’ve never thought about much!

I think Kanaya has natural maternal instincts, possibly instinctive as part of her caste or possibly taught by having a virgin mother grub for a lusus. Probably all jade bloods are like that, but who knows if it’s nature or nurture.

She’s not as confident as a lot of people make her out to be. She is, after all, just a kid, and she can be awkward and silly like any other kid. People seem to see her as a hoopy frood, but she’s not really. I mean, y’know, after two years she still hadn’t worked out how to turn off her glow.

She doesn’t seem to have a lot of confidence in herself? She just seems to be looking for advice or encouragement a lot.

Basically I think Kanaya is a dorky kid who really likes pretending she’s not a dorky kid, and most of the time it works.

i'm a shift manager at a subway on a local navy base and here we do kids meals only on white and wheat bread. a mother came in yesterday before we closed and asked for a kidsmeal with herb and cheese bread and when i told her we don't do that she lost her shit and demanded the store AND base number. i offered to do it for free but she refused and left with the store number. i talked to my boss about it and he told me not to worry. i thought that she was kind of an extreme customer, haha

Self entitled angry customers need to stop. We’ve all had them. They know who they are & they know what they’re doing.

When I get parents like that I always tell them they can make it a 6inch meal and get whatever bread they want for $5.33 and if the kid really wants the toy it’ll cost $1.50 extra. I don’t mollycoddle, especially if they demand something from me! I’ve even had my manager thank me for handling the customers the way I do, because she can’t stand them!

My Subway is all about customer service, and we have some devoted regulars because of how nice and accommodating we can be, but I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Customer Service is a 2 way street! Show you are deserving of respect and we’ll give it to you in spades! Treat us like gum on the bottom of your shoes and we’ll do everything possible to ruin your day.
