Yesterday we went on a trip to the Pinatubo Crater with the Land Rover Club of the Philippines comprising of about 20+ vehicles. It was a memorable experience however we weren’t able to get to the crater itself due to the bad weather. There were intermittent rains which made the trail muddier and muddier thus vehicles couldn’t make it all the way. One vehicle rolled over, while another broke down. We were really close but not quite there. We set up camp on one of the hilltops and enjoyed the cold weather and the lovely scenery.
The trail going home was considered dangerous as everything was already muddy and we might just end up stranded in a portion where a landslide may occur. We considered staying overnight but as the rains stopped and the ground seemingly was somewhat not quite muddy we decided to take our chances and head back home; that was at 6:45 in the evening. Thankfully we all made it out safely.
We finally got to go trailing after a long long time. I definitely missed the experience. Here are the photos from the trip:
