BETHLEHEM, Palestine – A large number of foreign pilgrims and Palestinian Christians gathered at Bethlehem’s Church of the Nativity last Saturday to pray for peace at the site where Jesus was born.

Loudspeakers sang of Christmas carols in Arabic and a Palestinian cleric in a beautiful purple robe prayed for peace in the Holy Land and in the wider Middle East.
